Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is forcefully condemning the violent protests that took one life in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday evening, calling on President Donald Trump to do the same. "The deadly violence we saw overnight in Portland is unacceptable," Biden said in a statement on Sunday. "I condemn this violence unequivocally. I condemn violence of every kind by anyone, whether on the left or the right. And I challenge Donald Trump to do the same." Biden is expected to travel to southwestern Pennsylvania on Monday to deliver remarks intended to contrast his vision of leadership with Trump's, where, according to a statement from his campaign, he'll ask voters to consider whether they are "safe in Donald Trump's America." "Donald Trump has been President for almost four years. The temperature in the country is higher, tensions run stronger, divisions run deeper. And all of us are less safe because Donald Trump can't do the job of the American president," the former vice president said. Democratic Oregon Gov. Kate Brown similarly blamed Trump. "For the last several years, and escalating in recent months, President Trump has encouraged division and stoked violence. It happened in Charlottesville. It happened in Kenosha. And now, unfortunately, it is happening in Portland, Oregon," she said in a statement Sunday.
Trump tweeted in encouragement of the caravan of his supporters Sunday morning, calling them "GREAT PATRIOTS!" but has yet to condemn the violence in the city outright besides a litany of tweets and retweets disparaging the city's Democratic mayor, Ted Wheeler. "If you think about it, Donald Trump saying you're not going to be safe in Joe Biden's America while all the video being played is in Donald Trump's America," Biden said in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday. Biden said on CNN that Trump is "absolutely" rooting for violence for political purpose because it allows him to claim a "law and order" mantle. "Have you ever heard this President say one negative thing about white supremacists? Have you ever heard it?" he asked. "That's the reason I got back in this race -- because what happened in Charlottesville," Biden said, recalling Trump's "both sides" comment following violence in the Virginia city in 2017. "We will stick to the game plan we've had from the first day of the campaign — to restore the soul of the nation," a Biden adviser told CNN. "We will not be distracted from that goal."
If you support the BLM movement, then you support the riots, the looting, and the violence.

The system. Do you understand what a metaphor is or not? Clearly not.
BLM is not exactly the Willy Wonka of word choice. And that started with their choice of a name for their organization.

It's time for Joe Biden to go on the attack. With Trumps dismal record of unending failures, Biden may have to prioritize his targeting.
I think it is important for Joe Biden to go on the hard offensive and not allow Trump to commandeer the daily news cycle.

So, Biden's only solution after three months of saying nothing and nothing being said at the convention, is to condemn the rioters? That's it? That's his plan? He lets the riots happen and just condemns them? Does he believe that if he condemns the rioting that the rioting will just stop? That's the same plan Wheeler and the govs have, nothing. They have even let it get so bad that they just let the rioters riot. That's their plan.
It's one more thing than Trump has done. What do you expect Trump to do next year that he hasn't already done this year?

If you'd actually read why they chose that name it makes perfect sense. Let me guess you think it means JUST Black lives matter don't you?

Deploy the army.
Why didn't he do that this year then? Are you saying Trump has had the power to stop the riots all this time, but he is allowing them to continue in order to give him leverage in an upcoming election?
That’s a possibility. But why is the far left blaming Trump for their riots? And why have we reached the point that sending in the military may be necessary because local and State government refuse to do what needs to be done?
Maybe Trump isn't to blame for the riots. But we know one thing for sure: Trump is not capable of stopping them. There is nothing he can do.
Perhaps Biden is capable? We won't know unless we give him a chance. If stopping the violence is paramount, it doesn't make sense to vote for a man you already know ahead of time is not capable of doing so. Voting for Trump is voting for the status quo. The status quo is widespread protests and riots, state governments opening up and shutting down again due to an out of control pandemic, and a president with the lowest consistent job approval rating in history.

He is capable of stopping it. And the far left is capable of not rioting in the first place. What you suggest sounds a lot like extortion. In any case, I’m not at all convinced these riots will be stopped by Biden’s olive branch approach.
If you vote for Trump, then you support the riots, looting, and violence, since it all happened under his watch, he has already done everything he is capable of doing to stop it, and there is no reason to believe that anything will change if he is reelected.
Vote Biden. Because at least he doesn't go out of his way to make snarky comments and fan the flames of hatred in order to piss off the protesters.
If he is capable of stopping it, why hasn't he?
Sorry, there's no way you can pin the looting and arson perpetrated by BLM on Trump. This is all a consequence of progressivism.
True, instead of snarky comments, he writes laws which resulted in mass incarceration of minorities.
Do you recall the wailing and gnashing of teeth that followed from his suggestion that he may invoke the Insurrection Act?
Yes. Do you honestly think it will be different next time? Same president, same protesters, same America.
Remember the old adage often attributed to Albert Einstein: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
It’s possible Trump would be willing to. Insanity is also promising to reason with a violent mob of criminal thugs - which is what Biden proposes.
