The problem the GOP has is that of the 75 million who voted for Trump in 2020, a good many of them will not vote for him again after how he comported himself after November 3, 2020 and particularly after the events of January 6, 2021. On the other hand, the 81 million who voted against him have been given no reason to choose differently... he continues to be a spoiled toddler throwing tantrums, spreading lies and conspiracy theories, and surrounding himself with clowns. If he runs again, the GOP will lose again.
It sure would be nice for the GOP to return to actual conservatism and excise the Trump circus show, so that most of the country could start taking them seriously again.
shrug...you won't get any judgement from me, since your link doesn't even GIVE sampling numbers.

Cue the usual suspects and paid shills to parrot the "polls are fake", or "oversampled Democrats", lines. Mind you, they are the first to bring up any of these polls that shows Biden and Democrats with poor numbers, or any kind of good polling numbers that can be shown for Trump and the GOP. It basically amounts to, polls that favor Republicans = Real, polls that favor Democrats = Fake.
Any way, it's obvious to everyone that unless Trump croaks he will be the GOP nominee in 2024. He's still widely disliked among the majority of the country, even as an ex president, and the GOP fully knows that he could easily lose again in 2024, regardless of what happens in 2022. The GOP wants DeSantis, or really anybody else, but the Trump albatross around their collective necks remains because he still holds massive support among the radicalized Republican base. Basically, if they don't at least pretend to support him...Trump will mount a third party bid, and destroy them in 2024. Couldn't happen to a nicer group of scumbahgs
The problem with the Democrat party is after all of the truly horrendous decisions Biden has made with the border and economics and foreign relations, and Afghanistan, many Democrat voters will sit this one out or switch to the good policies of Trump and vote Republican. The problem the GOP has is that of the 75 million who voted for Trump in 2020, a good many of them will not vote for him again after how he comported himself after November 3, 2020 and particularly after the events of January 6, 2021. Interesting poll but waaaaaay too early to mean anything. Not surprising though given Trump’s favorability numbers.
I truly do not want either of these old men to run again. I have liked Biden's policies and the way he has handled the war in Ukraine, but he is just getting too old. And as for Trump. I never voted for the jackass and I never would. and he sometimes seems senile/

Even after you've read the posts by democrat voters here, and you still have this inept and moronic opinion? Wow....., many Democrat voters will switch to the good policies of Trump and vote Republican.
What are you talking about? Trump is extremely popular. You're right it's early, but then again Biden was leading Trump by similar digits back in 2017...and we all saw what happened.
Either way, the GOP doesn't want Trump as their candidate in 2024 because they know he's divisive loser. The question is, will they be able to stop him without alienating his base? Highly doubtful.
A lot of them died of Covid, because they didn't think it was serious enough to get vaccinated. The problem the GOP has is that of the 75 million who voted for Trump in 2020, a good many of them will not vote for him again after how he comported himself after November 3, 2020 and particularly after the events of January 6, 2021. Biden will not make it to the 2024 campaign season. He is losing it big time. He can hardly put two words together as it is. He is the big guy in his son and brother's payola gambit. His finances are commingled with his son's. Who will be the Democrat's candidate for 2024?Agreed, but Biden may still have the best shot at keeping Trump or one of his fascist shit for brains clones from obtaining power. Kamala Harris, for a variety of reasons, would be very vulnerable to lose.
Only with losers. What are you talking about? Trump is extremely popular.
haha! The ole Russian collusion BS. Funny stuff there.Putin and Russia are so toxic that Trump will never be able to separate from it.
I highly doubt either one will run for the presidency in 2024. I’d just like to remind Republicans that they’re still the smaller of the two major parties, hence they must win the independent vote or lose the election. Independents still don’t like Trump. As such, if he does run, he’ll lose unless the Democrats nominate another Hillary Clinton who independents disliked more than they disliked Trump in 2016

The problem is that the two parties do not allow a centrist candidate acceptable to the majority of voters to be nominated. Why are citizens so obsessed with 2 old have beens instead of focusing on more appealing candidates?
Compare the two pictures. Tell me the story they each disclose.
