He may have converted them to a certain domination or maybe caused them to get baptized or join/rejoin a church, I however strongly doubt a senator converted 13 people with no previous Christianity persuasion to the foldI'm atheist (always have been, and always rejected anything supernatural) and very much enjoy Bible study. Lot of good lessons to learn, a lot of morals, ethics, values and traditions to explore.
I very much doubt a Senator converted 13 African heads of state. I'm sure we'll find they were Christian before meeting him. Got a list?

So you are calling Pastor Black a liar.
Black is the 62nd chaplain of the Senate and the former chief of chaplains for the U.S. Navy, yet he states in the interview some senators dwarf him in spirituality.
I know from your comments you did not bother to watch the interview.
Too bad.
I don't believe it. There are many reasons why the Chaplin could have it wrong, not necessarily lying.
It's not on me to prove it, I didn't make the claim. Someone can provide a list of names if they want to prove the claim.
So you are calling Pastor Black a liar. You don't believe it and you are an atheist.
Next! :lamo
You are wrong, Pastor Black who holds bible study and prayer time with both sides of the aisle of the Senate that wish to attend weekly, has made the claim. He refused to give a name of the senator responsible of bringing 13 heads of state from Africa to Christ. A non believer would not understand that. A believer does. Why does he have to be a liar to be wrong? Are we presuming he's perfect? He could have gotten wrong info, he could have misspoke, there are many possibilities.
I don't believe it. This is a debate website. The burden of proof is on the maker of the claim.

Before you respond to me again, watch the video.
Believers don't question each other? Well, that seems flawed to me. Do believers never get incorrect info, make mistakes or indulge in exaggeration? I had no idea y'all were perfect.
That's not gonna happen. You hold the claim to be true, prove it.

I don't have to prove nothin to an atheist. Because no matter what I put in front of you, you are going to have a problem with it.
I so much wanted to start this thread in the Religious Forum because the rules are different there.
But I am still glad I was able to post the links as I know believers will find much comfort in knowing their Senators and several of Trump's cabinet members are among the faithful seeking G-d's counsel.
I bet electricity was considered "supernatural" to people not familiar with electricity! I know when I was 6 YO and put that 3 volt motor in that household socket, I got a quick lesson, did not understand it, but I knew something was afoot!
I probably respect religion more than any other atheist on this website. I believe metaphysical expression is part of human nature and suppressing it is low class and authoritarian.
Do all believers automatically believe anything a Chaplin says, even when his claims are not theological? That seems absurd to me.

That you do, I give you credit on your tolorence. Not saying I believe the chaplain, or don't. Really just trying to say don't summarily discount the supernatural.
My point was one needn't be a Christian to approve of Bible study in Congress. One needn't believe in the supernatural to be religious anyway.
Saying I don't believe in the supernatural is not an attack on anyone. It's not "sky wizard" or such crap. I have every right to that position, even in the religious subforum, as long as I'm not attacking the beliefs of others. And I wasn't, I was stating my belief in support of Bible study.
Easy man, not saying you are "attacking" anything. Just weighing in with my opinion.

Obama would be proud!Believers don't question ANYTHING that aligns with their specially crafted world view. The Trump administration bringing Jesus to the godless savages in Africa makes them feel like they made the right decision last November so they're gonna go with it.
Are you comparing electricity to the claim that the Trump administration converted 12 African heads of state to Christianity?
So you are calling Pastor Black a liar...
I don't have to prove nothin to an atheist.
Should be banned. Has no business in the White House or any government agency. It basically means that the people who attend this meeting (and the list is frightening) take the Bible over the US constitution and the basic laws of the US.. and that is wrong.
