Best Idea to allow Gretta to get to Spain without Flying

Poor lass, she went to America by sail boat to avoid the problem of flying using fossil fuels but the IPCC's conferance has moved to Spain from Chille after the locals started rioting due to the increase in costs of all that green crap.

So she needs to get to Spain in a hurry without using fossil fuels.

How about dog sleigh over the Bearing straits? Then on the train, they are allowed for some reason, across Siberia, into Europe and on to Iberia?

The sea has frozen nice and solid so it is do-able.

Hmm... in the Information Age it should be possible to convey (via email?) her brilliant speech to be given (read aloud) by someone else attending that meeting in Spain. Surely, such a environmentally conscious person could find some way to forego unnecessary intercontinental travel.
 
Irrespective of whether you agree with Greta's platform or not, she absolutely does deserve praise for being able to stay focused on the issues.

16 years old, subjected to shocking and repeated vile personal attacks in regards to her disability and appearance and yet she still stays focused.

Disagreeing with her positions is one thing, the disgusting personal attacks are shameful.
 
This young girl really gets under the skin of 2019 Republicans.

Then they turn around and support a New York City criminal who practices extortion and doesn't pay his bills.

The picture has been painted for a long time.
 

The one thing that gets me as well, is this idea she's "just being used".

Like someone with her disability and at her age just can't possibly think for themselves, coming from people addicted to anti-science propaganda blogs and who think climate science is some giant conspiracy.
 

Its patently untrue. She does display signs of autism, you can see it in her face, but so what?

My son has high functioning autism and knows exactly who he is and what he is about. This young woman is the same.

People have their own particular struggles, this is hers and in the end it doesn't mean a damn thing because she knows what she wants and will overcome the obstacles to get it.
 

She ought to do a Phileas Fogg and get on a hot air balloon.
 

Someone needs to invent video conferencing & Sype & You Tube & stuff.

Where are the Edisons & Jobs & Teslas when Greta needs them?

It's part of her condition. This isn't something people should encourage. Greta shouldn't exist for just this. It makes me sick how people are using her and her condition for their own personal and political gain. They won't be there when she falls back into depression, not eating and not talking.

Giving a speech is only part of the reason to attend a conference. There's a lot of benefit to being there in person and networking.

There is no sign that this is some sort of tic or OCD behavior. Asperger's apparently makes her direct, not a puppet. She's made her own choice to support this cause.

Video Conferencing is very easy to set up, I was in one back in the early 1990's when I participated in a video conference about Food and Hunger that were attended by several scientists from several countries, I traveled about 10 miles for the conference, watched two Indian scientists sitting in India talk about the topic....

Environmentalists hate to miss out on the rich food and drinking, plus the fun of the pool and dance halls, and of course the sex......, that is a big reason why they chose the hypocrite route and ignore the Video Conference method, which would eliminate about 99% of the CO2 emissions surrounding these bogus Ecoloony gatherings.
 

She is repeating the same ecoloony bullcrap the adult handlers have been using for years. They have decided to use children to push the same message they pushed for years, there is nothing new except the age of the latest would be planetary savior to maintain the absurd we are doomed narrative.
 

One could have quite a party for the cost of a round-trip intercontinental flight.

Exactly. The conference could be held in a soccer field and broadcast live on the replay screen.

We do that with our own debates, Presidential speeches.

Or she could swim.
 

Greta is playing big boy games in the big boy arena. As such she is subject to big boy criticism.

Again, there is more to a conference like this than giving one speech.

This conference in particular is 11 days long. There will be representatives of governments and NGOs there. A conference like this cannot function if it's just a bunch of videos on YouTube.
