Well, let's see..."Actively participate in" --- you have an account, you post or repost your thoughts/opinions/news, you upload content, you watch/read or create content.
In the comments --- which of these do you sometimes view/read/watch, etc. but you don't have an account and don't comment?
What I think is interesting is that social media is as popular as ever but most websites have either turned off their comment section or gotten rid of them.
I wonder if it's because they don't have the employees to monitor those comments. So they post their article to Twitter or Facebook and let them moderate the commenthen.
Possibly but sites like IMDB who had a small board for every movie now have no real replacement

I look over a few groups about where I was born and raised and post some items on Market Place. Does anyone know how Zuckerberg is letting revenue slip away? I have sold many items and paid no surcharge or fee for the transactions.
I look at Twitter, but rarely post.
DP is where I spend most of my online time. (Way too much, honestly>)
I don’t understand the oversight?I've sold things for years on FB and never paid a fee.
To bad there was no 'Truth Social' poll choice.
A TS choice might have given us some insight into DP's demographics.
