Bad guy stabs Florida deputy in the neck - Gets tased for his troubles.

So cop does nothing about his left arm clearly hiding what he is holding then he sets his gun down on the ground near the suspect? WTF?

This is an example of good policing?

I think the commentator covered all the bases pretty well.

I think that you missed yet another point...

The point is that this was supposed to be a video/thread showing cops in a good light. It did the exact opposite.

In your opinion. Given your extensive experience in law enforcement, I suspect we should find your arguments persuasive. I do not

Considering that you don't even understand the nature of the argument, I find that believable...

And the comments in the video support what you say.

And it is also an indication that once the shit hits the fan cops do things one doesn't see as making sense.

The video shows a cop reacting quickly to a a threat preventing further injury. Good here.

Then chasing a suspect while wounded. Good here.

Then drawing his service pistol and deciding to go non lethal. Good so far.

He deploys the taser. Drops the bad guy. Good here.

He sets his service weapon down. Bad cop. No doughnut.

Not exactly the "exact opposite" of a good bit of policing.
