(Axios) Pardoned Jan. 6 rioter charged with plotting Jeffries' assassination
--
The details: Christopher Moynihan allegedly said in text messages on Oct. 17 that he would target a speech Jeffries was scheduled to give in New York City, according to a criminal complaint filed in state court.
"I cannot allow this terrorist to live," Moynihan allegedly wrote. "Even if I am hated he must be eliminated ... I will kill him for the future."

I suppose the only real question now, is whether Donald Trump will pardon this J6-er again?

like any other person making threats like that .... fullest extent of the laws go after them

and ... yes, its a very bad look for a padoned person to do this. I've hated early paroles and let outs, no cash bails and catch and release of criminals .... Trump doing it ? yep - call it what it is too

"Pressed further about Trump's pardons, Johnson again denounced the threat but added, "I will tell you this, the violence on the left is far more prevalent than the violence on the right.""

That is not true. Records show that right wing violence is 5 times that of the left.

"The Capitol Police said last month they are on track to have around 14,000 threat assessment cases by the end of 2025, up from less than 9,500 last year."

It's hard to make a credible threat when in prison and lacking access to social media or contact with the public. Perhaps the reason for the additional threats is because the angriest maga criminals were foolishly released from prison by someone who just wanted the attention that doing something so controversial was bound to bring.

He’ll be pardoned again by Trump.

Jefferies has shown himself to be relatively weak and feckless. Are you sure this guy isn't ANTIFA? Trump pardoned everone from that day.

For that reason, I assume he will only face state charges. Like, why waste your time?

I hastily posted my OP yesterday, as I was heading out the door. Upon re-read now, it appears the charges our state charges brought by a county prosecutor.

I'm very surprised the charges were not at the federal level, as that would have seemed the appropriate course.

Wow, can't even condemn your fellow MAGA.
Sad, very sad.
