OMG! They're teaching kids that gay people exist too? And that not everyone is heterosexual? And how everyone can be safe during sex, regardless of sexual orientation?
Grab the pitchforks boys! We gotta put a stop to this! :2mad:
The curriculum once provided by PPH wasn't radical enough. Didn't start in the third grade either.
Fortunately parents are allowed to opt out of this normalization indoctrination.
It must be fun living in that alternate-reality of yours. You can join us here at any time.
I've lived in your alternate reality here in the Austin area for decades, thank you.

Austin school district trustees early Tuesday unanimously approved a new sex education curriculum that, for the first time, will teach elementary students lessons on sexual orientation, gender identity and sexually transmitted diseases.
For more than a year, district administrators, parents, community members and advocacy groups grappled with what to teach elementary and middle school students. The Human Sexuality and Responsibility curriculum has not been changed in a decade for elementary students and in seven years for middle school students. Under the new curriculum, educators will also teach lessons on healthy relationships, puberty, pregnancy and reproduction.
“There’s no doubt that the topic of sex education in public schools elicits strong reactions,” board member Kristin Ashy said to a room filled with people after listening to over three hours of public comment Monday night. “Tonight offers itself as an example of these reactions.”

Wonder if there will be a class on "How to avoid being sexualized as a child"? Another case of how the desires of a few outweigh the concerns of the many.

Good news...the parents of gay kids pay taxes the same as the parents of straight ones...and wouldn't it be nice if the next generation of straight kids learned early to remove the stick their parents have driven up their ass over something that gay kids can't change about themselves. Maybe less gay kids will kill themselves as a result.
Always gotta look for the bright side, bud.
Gay people don't exist! We're a mirage!

As if being a tyrannosaurus rex before lunch, and The Rock after isn’t enough, they have to wear a dress and tiara to get an “A”.
We have a similar problem in California with the school districts trying to groom our children to make them more tolerant of perverts making sexual advances.
All I can say is, leave the kids to be kids, and let the teachers go live out their guilt on people their own age.

Elementary school kids are not only exposed to sexual situations, they are having sex. When do you want to begin educating them?
There is no practical reason for teaching an 8 year old about sexually transmitted diseases. So I don’t know, maybe the State shouldn’t be teaching these things until the age the law says they can legally consent to sexual activity and leave the rest to parents.
Because parents have been doing such a bang-up job throughout history?
As opposed to what? The State being complicit in statutory rape?
