The implication is that black people posted the stickers to provoke trouble. Do you see it differently?
Who said black people. It was probably trust fun hipsters who also live in that area, ironically.
no, they appeared on certain targeted businesses that seemed to attract the gentrified crowd. The stickers were a protest of that gentrification.
well, see, in the real world it means outside money coming in and pricing people who already live there out"Gentirification" is a pejorative term aimed at whites.

I don't think anyone implied it was black people doing it. I'd actually say white hipsters are more likely.
I don't get that hipsters would protest gentrification. They tend to live in gentrifying neighborhoods.
I see. And who has the "outside money"?

Austin mayor outraged by 'white people only' stickers posted on businesses - CNN.com
Notice how the story, and the city manager, automatically make the subtle assumption that this was the action of white supremacists.
It's quite possible - perhaps even more likely - that this was done by people who want to make a claim that the City of Austin caters to white people only. It's a common tactic to pose as what you despise in order to create a false image and make it look bad.
The bias, lack of creativity, and laziness of the media is dumbfounding.
....and the austin story once found out it was perpetrated by a leftist, quietly sinks out of the media......
told ya, left wing white liberal hipster douchebag.

I bet the mayor stays silent.
Keep austin wierd y'all.
Yeah, because it's less of a story. "Holy **** real overt racial discrimination in 2015." is a story. "Some douche thinks he's making a point about race" isn't.
Maybe they should have investigated the story before making it national news?
Nah, crazy talk!
Damn. That man is definitely a victim of our racist society which only favors white men.
Well, it certainly looks like he was the victim of a real estate scam...$32 million for that!
You are talking about an industry that does things like report that the ACA had been overturned by the Supreme Court because they couldn't finish walking out the door with the text of the decision before they had to report SOMETHING. Let alone read the dang thing.
our media thinks being first is more important than being right. Probably because that is the more profitable option.
Do you have evidence of a conspiracy?
"The stickers were neither produced nor knowingly displayed by the businesses and were removed by their employees when discovered this morning," he said Wednesday.
Someone did this to elicit a response. 'Who' remains to be seen. It wasnt the businesses. Now...who would have something to gain by this? Surely the stickers should be relatively easy to track.
The "who" turns out to be a 'Liberal Social Justice Warrior'. Odd how these 'warriors' always prefer to remain anonymous.

Not sure who you were listening to, but the first I heard of the ACA decision was on twitter, from a conservative pundit, with these simple words: "It's a Tax"
Maybe you should stick to more obvious failures of the national media. Might I suggest "Hands up, Don't Shoot"?
I fully expect Montecristo along any time now to acknowledge the evidence of the 'agent provocateur'.The "who" turns out to be a 'Liberal Social Justice Warrior'. Odd how these 'warriors' always prefer to remain anonymous.
