DEVELOPING: (Newscore)- Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey will announce that she is charging George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, The Washington Post reported Wednesday, citing a law enforcement official close to the investigation.

It is unclear what charges he will face.

I am surprised. I think this is a move to appease the masses who want vengeance not justice. Hopefully we learn more about the case. If the same facts that we know today are all that comes out I will be disappointed in our justice system giving into the mob.

Other reports are already saying that he may have already been charged.

The masses have NOT called for vengeance. The only thing that the overwhelming majority of people in this country have asked for is that Zimmerman be arrested and that he face a jury trial. Let the jury hear the facts and decide whether he is guilty or not. What upset people about this case is the way that the police botched the investigation and that George Zimmerman was allowed to walk free. Most people in this country understand that given the facts/circumstances, there is WAY MORE than enough evidence to justify an arrest. Whether there is enough to convict. THAT is for the jury to determine.

I think most people knew that already. Very few, if any expected 1st degree. I'd be surprised at 2nd degree. I think they are going with manslaughter and going to try to prove zimmerman used excessive force.

Going with Zimmerman's own words on the 911 call and his actions that followed. I'm not saying that there is enough to convict. I think that remains to be seen. But there ABSOLUTELY is more than enough to arrest. Hell...I've had dozens of clients in Los Angeles charged with murder with a LOT less evidence than there is here.

First degree doesn't require a grand jury. A Grand Jury indictment is simply an alternative means of going about the process. The alternative is an arrest and a preliminary hearing. Either way First or second degree can be charged.

In either case a trial will be good. If there isnt a trial people are going to be pointing to this case for years and years. Trayvon/Zimmerman needs to be put to rest one way or another.
