Interesting take. But the dopamine reward of religious belief is relatively mild. I think the fear of being damned works together with the fear of relapsing. The ex-addict needs another reason, to satisfy their mind which never fully recovers from drug addiction. There's also the high likelihood that they're not as smart as they were before addiction, and need easy answers to the hard questions.

You're one of the few people I've ever heard from, who I don't want to rescue from religion. You seem happy enough with your own ideas, which I could most kindly describe as 'eclectic.'

Well, I didn't march beyond the stars to see some imagination in my mind, but that is possible for much of it but unlikely.

But all in all, I've found there is nowhere else and I've run out of ground to trespass upon.

Here, I'll tell you another story, I was at the Great White Throne one day, I like to hang out there, it's easy to get to the Great White Throne, it would be a good place to practice command, you just have to accept that you are there already, in some space and time and make that a time now and see if you can look around to gain impressions.

Well, Trump came along and up he went above the Throne, trying to absorb the scene.

Now, myself, I don't go above that Throne, absorbing goes on back there, in the event horizon falling to the frog egg, you'll never absorb out of it, I don't think, I stopped after twenty years. I point like the figure in a Chick tract.

I didn't dismay, eventually Trump came down, after some days or weeks, having heard me. I posted by him, he's up the slope to the right with the goats. I didn't feel him any malice no need to go off on him and give him Beast lessons. I figure at that Throne where he says, "As you have done to the least of these." So I didn't see how it could be a good idea. Ya I let him go and returned to the pastures of my sheep.

I have met a few ex junkies who then took up religion and they are the biggest pain in the arse people you could meet. Ever see the fanatic standing on the street corner pushing pamphlets on people and quoting scripture by heart. That is most probably an ex junkie. They are not interested in answers, religion to them is just another drug. If you ever stop and talk with them then you will find with most their understanding is limited to parroting the words of the bible but with little depth or understanding as to what meaning is behind the words they parrot .

some of us like them and hang with them as we see them out there.

they bridge the gap between those who don't go to church and others who live at church.

Fine, if you want to hang with them not my problem. Still does n ot change anything I have said about them. They do not have a god, all they have is another drug. And if you hang with them and feed them more religion what are you but another pusher keeping them fed.

yeah some of the devils in those Toons need an Upgrade; i should keep that in mind when perusing & choosing those types.

groan, so sometimes my cartooons are accomplishing the opposite of what i intended. the devils are not supposed to be Cuddly Teddy Bears, in reality they are your mortal enemies out to damn your soul.

the devil here is a bit meaner and more convincing, the angels do just fine for themselves and reflect a standard in appearance. ...
