ATF needs suppressors for “health and safety”

Whereas gun lovers' knowledge of guns comes mostly from video games and TV.
Not generally it comes from owning them. I won't tell you too much about a Glock I never owned one but I can tell you a lot about a 1911 and I don't think I learned any of it from video games.

Is there any video game that lets you complete strip a 1911? Down to the sear and disconnector removed.

I did learn how to strip Glocks since we had some friends buy two. They came to me because the 9mm would not chamber ammo. They put the .22 LR slide on the 9mm lower.

No. There are some video games that are very specific about how they work and how they're used but I've never seen that sort of thing I know video game

I can feel stress them and it's just I'm not well versed in how to use them how to get the best accuracy out of them and so forth.

So gun lovers never comment about guns they do not own in your experience ?

So they only know what can be learned in video games? Remember you made that asinine claim? I understand why you'd try to avoid it but my statement was in response to that.

No, they CANNOT, learn about guns from video games
Another asinine comment from you.

He's just a very old school liberal and because of that he appears to be a conservative. That's based on mislabeling the left liberal in these days.

So what was Reagan?

"Certain forms of ammunition have no legitimate sporting, recreational, or self-defense use and thus should be prohibited."
-Ronald Reagan

"While we recognize that assault-weapon legislation will not stop all assault-weapon crime, statistics prove that we can dry up the supply of these guns, making them less accessible to criminals."
-Ronald Reagan

"Well, I think there has to be some (gun) control."
-Ronald Reagan

"With the right to bear arms comes a great responsibility to use caution and common sense on handgun purchases."
-Ronald Reagan

They were there pointing guns at people and shooting dogs because they didn't like that this family was doing something that they had the right to do.

You don't shoot a gun at someone accidentally. That's intentional in the intention was to kill people if it wasn't they wouldn't have had them there in the first place.

Yes I remember hearing the baby survived but the mother died with the baby in her arms because the failure of a bunch of incompetent boobs trying to track down or fabricate up some illegal weapons transfers which shouldn't be a thing because again we have the second amendment right to keep and bear arms. The shooting happened because they thought this family incorrectly was involved with transfer weapons that they didn't get permission from some obscure entity of the government which they don't need to do in the first place.

They absolutely murdered these people on Ruby ridge without a doubt. It wasn't necessarily because of homicidal intent it was because of profound and competence and failure of the government to understand the rights of the people.

Every single person involved in this should have not only been fired immediately for incompetence resulting in homicide of citizens who had done nothing wrong but probably face criminal charges as well.
Not sure how the ruby ridge discussion got started...but:
1-The FBI set up Randy Weaver on gun charges to try to coerce him to become an informant against white supremacy groups. He declined.
2-The FBI launched a massive operation to take down Weaver, including modeling and rerouting satellites and putting boots on the ground inside the property.
3-Sam Weaver and Kevin Harris were walking with rifles on the property when their dog sniffed out the Marshals. Without announcing themselves, they shot the family dog. Same Weaver was 14 and he had just witnessed a stranger in a ghillie suit shoot and kill his dog. He returned fire, turned and ran and the Marshals shot him in the back. Harris shot and killed one of the Marshals.
4-The siege on the main compound ultimately ended when an FBI sniper (Lon Horiuchi) shot Weaver, Harris, and killed Vicki Weaver.
5-Lon Horiuchi was also one of the FBI snipers that started the shooting at Waco. The FBI agent who initially outed him later recanted his accusation and the FBI claimed that though there were 308 shell casings at his position...they must have been left there from previous shootings.

The whole things was a ****ing corrupt disaster from the get go. A government agency targeted an innocent man to force him into being an informant...and from that beginning a dog, a 14 year old young man, and a mother were murdered, a Marshal lost hos life, and 2 more men were shot and wounded.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.

It's a good thing for law enforcement to use suppressors. They should train with what they will use. And if they use suppressors in the field, where there is no warning, where there could be a lady with a new baby hiding behind the same pillar while they're shooting, it's just generally nice if they don't do permanent ear damage, no matter how nasty the things they may be up to. And, incredibly, I just read that the silencer actually improves accuracy, which is obviously a good thing considering how many innocent civilians keep getting hit in gun battles. (Yeah yeah, I shouldn't call it a silencer because it doesn't silence. Rename "guard rails" as "slow-down rails" while we're at it?)

Democrats have really gotten people into believing what suppressors are and are not with continual lies

"Who wants a silencer? Not the average citizen. They're law-abiding. Not our police officers. They're against these provisions that allow anyone to get a silencer. The only people who want silencers are criminals because they don't want people to hear their bad, horrible, deadly deeds," Schumer said while spewing complete nonsense to the media Thursday.

yes, many average citizens would like a suppressor (not a silencer, that's movies Chuck) In fact, criminals using suppressors are very very rare.
