Post #197Mexico’s drug cartels are in a constant state of flux. Over the decades, they have grown, splintered, forged new alliances, and battled one another for territory. The two cartels that pose the most significant drug trafficking threats [PDF] to the United States, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA),

Do you believe we should send Afghans back to the Taliban, at the same time we provide shelter and financial assistance to cartel family members?
200,000 refugees is a lot more then Special Immigrant Visas. They literally rushed the planes to get out because of the chaosThe Afghans, at risk to themselves and to their families, HELPED the American military.
What part of this do you think doesn't deserve reciprocity on our part?
Thanks for answering.
Interesting, but your word for something isn't good enough.200,000 refugees is a lot more then Special Immigrant Visas. They literally rushed the planes to get out because of the chaos
The story now is managing all the cases - Congress had legislation Afghan Adjustment Act and did nothing
Refuges other then those qualifying for a SIV are now deportable with the end of TPS
why does any drug warrior? We can't beat Mexican cartels, we can only beat them back across the borderPost #197
So, why does trump believe the USA has a chance at this point in time of eliminating the cartels in Mexico that supply the bulk of the drugs provided to American customers?
ROFL..have a good nightInteresting, but your word for something isn't good enough.
Prove the accuracy of the statements you've made in Post #203:
Copy and paste excerpts from credible sources to which you provide the links.
I can see why you're laughing. The number of Afghans trump is heartlessly deporting isn't 200,000, as you implied in Post #203. (Where did you get that number....Zerohedge? Conservativetreehouse? Faux? Tucker?)ROFL..have a good night
If the family members are thoroughly vetted and pose no danger, why not? If it handicaps a huge drug cartel, that's a good thing, isn't it? Anyone with a valid asylum application should be allowed in.
Afghan translators are not being removed by Trump. He is ending all refugee ( not specific translators) Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
The family members are not considered cartel members.
He's rolling everything up into a plea deal if i understand it
Okay, it isn't just translators being removed, it is also those that literally helped drop bombs on the Taliban and fought beside US soldiers. That doesn't make it any better.
My bad, I did mean to say cartel family members. My point still stands, protecting cartel family members is okay but protecting Afghani family members of those that fought terrorists with the US is not?
Does a plea deal prevent chapo from buying a pardon? After Ross Ulbricht of silk road fame, we know tRump doesn't have an issue with giving a pardon to someone involved in the trade of murder and drugs.
Because who better to fight the really bad cartels than those that know all the inner workings, with a strong leader, and a beautiful wife.
They’re hiding the crime behind an alleged plea deal.Offering protection and safety for the family members of the cartel.
Terminating protection for Afghan allies and their families that helped you during the war in Afghanistan that could result in death sentences when they are deported.
Why can't they both be protected? Why can't you do two things at once?
America is so ****ed up these days with their insane and hypocritical policies.
Oof, you really just completely destroyed her entire argument there.Fair enough, Josie. But if you and I were agree on this subject (and I do agree) and say "Hey, so long as the family members of drug cartel bosses are thoroughly vetted and pose no danger" then I would just take the next logical step and advocate for everyone to be allowed into the United States who is thoroughly vetted and poses no danger. …
They aren’t criminals themselves.

And to be clear, if adult family members of the leader of a designated terrorist organization can pass that test, I would say 99.99% of all people wanting to move into the United States could. And because I am pro-immigration, I would want them welcomed in by those same standards. I want as many people who want to move to the United States and make a life for themselves to move in and contribute to our great nation to be able to do so. Again, so long as they are no more dangerous than the average adult family members of a terrorist organization's leader, that is.
That would certainly cover the people I care about, i.e., Afghan refugees, Haitian refugees, Ukrainian refugees, and millions of others from across the world yearning for safety, freedom and prosperity.
It’s a family business, Josie.
And the ex-wife actually did launder money.
The family of cartel leaders live in my subdivision north of Houston. They're regular people. Their children go to Cooper just like our daughters.
As long as they came through legally and aren't criminals, all good.
Trump has never in his miserable life "cleaned up" anything, he only makes ugly uglier.Don't worry about it.
Trump is trying to clean up the damage caused by Bidens indifference to the border.
It’s a family business, Josie.

What "legal" channel do you think drug cartel leaders families go through, tharock220?
Because I believe that if cartel aristocracy can go through such channels and become legal residents, literally anyone should be able to.
Trump has never in his miserable life "cleaned up" anything, he only makes ugly uglier.
They used their connections to make it happen.
Knowing the right people helps in life.
And like that, the left's concerns about due process were gone...
Righties will find an answer for this, bet on it.
