Associated Press: Mexican security chief confirms cartel family members entered US in a deal with Trump administration

If? Terrorists out of action? Drugs off our streets? A tradeoff?
You don't know that any of these things are happening as a result of this.

Ok-- what is happening then? Is Trump just letting in some "brown" refugees to even out the 'white' Afrikaaners he let in a few days?
Do you really think that this is a plausible explanation?

Or maybe what has been suggested previously- there is some sort of plea deal in the works?

What do you think is more realistic?

If cartel leaders get arrested in this deal, are you still going to be sad sads about it?

Lmao....neither do you. You're just assuming all of these people are members of the cartel.
No, I did not.
If anything, I have more evidence supporting my position because the article clearly stated that the family members are not wanted for any crimes in Mexico.
Trump's reputation for monumental screw ups proceeds.
You argument is based on nothing but made-up bullshit.
I haven't made any argument. You are the one who started your comment with "IF".

As mentioned above, Trump's reputation for monumental screw ups proceeds.

Maybe they gave him an airplane? Or bought a bunch of his crypto.

Trump supporters continue to just show they have no thoughts of their own outside of justifying EVERYTHING Trump does.
Yeah. I have to admit, for a fleeting moment I had the hope that this - bringing Sinaloa Cartel "family members" into the USA - might be a tad too much for MAGA, given its support for trump's overlooking due process and making mistakes when he kicked alleged cartel members out of the country.

But, it's a cult, and cult members have ceded critical thinking, common sense, decency, even self-preservation in favor of blind support for el Jefe.

No, I did not.

Your intent is to ask my opinion, which wasn't really my opinion because it's literally stated in the article, all so you can bitch about me restating what was already written in the article.

That's just.....weird.

Either way, your dissatisfactions with me for actually reading the article are duly noted.

It's an open debate site. If you don't want your comments read by others, you know the solution.

Do you have anything to actually add to the discussion, or are you just here to complain about everything?

What are you guys talking about?
President Biden turned a blind eye when the cartel folks came in.
Mighty convenient development of scruples.

Too bad trump isn't sticking to his "cartels are foreign terrorists" that are waging war against the USA line of thinking.

Now, it's, "Let's bring Sinaloa "family members" into the USA!"

One wonders how many more Sinaloa "family members" will be allowed to gain entry?

Not like this. This instance is all trump's.

Remember, your boy so recently designated the Sinaloa Cartel as a "foreign terrorist group" that is waging war on the USA.

Yet here trump is, allowing family members into the USA....

Dotage?

Or a bribe trump couldn't turn down?

It is still factual he is importing a group of terrorists....why is he arguing that cartel and gangs are terrorists that can be sent to El Salvador without due process if he is importing them?

You've been stating opinions in the entire thread about what you think might happen.
If, if, if, hopefully ...

Hopefully any non-cartel family member will be allowed entry if it translates to arrested cartel leaders.

I'm surprised that you're pro-cartel to this extreme. It's astounding that you're in favor of cartel leaders remaining free just because you're so emotionally upset at Trump.

There's no promise that additional terrorists will be "arrested".

But trump, who insists these cartels are not only terrorists but are also waging war against Americans, is allowing terrorist "family members" into the USA.

Doesn't make sense.

You've been stating opinions in the entire thread about what you think might happen.
If, if, if, hopefully ...

You had an immediate response to the thread with a "WTF?" Did you assume something not in the article?

Yeah, I tend to complain about people who show up just to bitch about other people having an opinion but not adding anything to the discussion. Because people bitching for the sake of bitching are....well, a lot of things.

Speaking of, do you have anything you'd like to add to the discussion topic?

What has happened here: trump has been bribed or has been duped into providing access to this country to "family members" of the horrible cartel that is waging war against America.

Of course, this makes no sense. And it undercuts his words against the sinister cartels. Plus, it undermines his use of the AEA as a basis for deporting people.

But one wonders how many MORE cartel "family members" will be allowed to enter the USA.....

As I mentioned up thread, based on the facts of the article, the Trump administration is allowing the families of cartel members in the US because they may suffer persecution in their home country. Do you really not see the hypocrisy?

...On Monday, citing “sources,” Chaparro reported on his YouTube channel that 17 of El Chapo’s relatives — including his ex-wife, various nephews and nieces, a grandson, a daughter and a son-in-law — entered U.S. territory in San Ysidro around midday May 9 and were met by FBI agents. They carried more than $70,000 in cash, reported Chaparro, who said at least one sniper watched over the group as they turned themselves in to U.S. authorities.

Among the group was Griselda López, El Chapo’s former wife and the mother of Ovidio and his elder brother, Joaquín Guzmán López, who is also in U.S. custody facing drug charges....

```````````````````````````
What has been said is that there are no warrants in Mexico for any of these people.
It's quite possible that some of these "family members" participate in or have participated in the Sinaloa Cartel's activities.
And our very own President has allowed them to enter the country.
