As we enter the era of Republicans attacking contraception what do these states (with the highest STD rates) have in common?

Anybody?

Does anyone know what will happen in THESE states as Republicans/Christians attack contraception?

"Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in his concurring opinion on Dobbs that the court “should reconsider” its long-standing rulings, including the 1965 Griswold v. Connecticut decision, which granted married couples the right to use contraceptives without government oversight. (The Eisenstadt v. Baird decision seven years later granted unmarried couples the same right.)

“If that’s not a direct threat, I don’t know what is,” Ms Singiser says.

In the wake of Justice Thomas’ opinion, Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn called the Griswold decision on contraception “constitutionally unsound” and Republican Sen. Mike Braun voiced his opinion that the issue of contraceptive access should be left to the states."

So now Republicans want to target contraceptives in a marriage?
WTF ever happened to the concept of keeping your noses out of America's bedrooms?

And contraception prevents STVs?
You cut your Junior High "Health" classes, didn't you?

What an interesting coincidence. These states overlay almost exactly the map of the states with the most teenage pregnancy. What are the odds of that?

I guess it's fair to say that the "bible belt", and a chastity belt, have absolutely nothing in common.

The more you tell people, even young people, what they can't do, the more they do it. Guess conservatives haven't figured that out yet.

This exchange highlights the kind of issues one sees with southern schools not teaching people that condoms can protect against certain STDs
Which southern schools would those be?

Yeah, this is a massively minority view within the greater republican and highly unlikely to occur. And it absolutely shouldn't.

I hope they do go after contraception. The backlash on abortion has been something. Can you imagine what the backlash would be on something as basic and accepted as contraception? It would be epic.
