All we need is Trump to lie under oath in this lawsuit filed by porn star Stormy Daniels and the republicans will have no other options but to do it since they did it with glee to Bill Clinton.

Should he find the courage and admit to the affair, Melania will then divorce him and take half his $$$. I think she would prefer the money over being FLOTUS. Anyway, he probably would resign rather than be in public domestic fight with a future ex-wife and more damaging stories come out!

Either way, the American people win!

Yes, Pence is horrible, but it's because his policies are absolute ****. I wouldn't worry about Pence getting pissed and nuking NK over something silly.

That is the only - only - reason I would prefer Pence over Trump. Pence doesn't have scorched Earth delusions like Trump does.
 

Personally, im not worried either one would do that. Thats sort of ridiculous..
 

What makes you think that the "Republicans will have no choice" ? They don't have to do anything. Impeachment is a political process, not a criminal one, nor does precedent apply. If the politicians decide that lying under oath isn't impeachable then it isn't.

I do not believe that Trump will end up impeached. Or at worst, impeachment would be initiated, but he'd not thrown out (much like Clinton).

The only way to get Trump out of office is to vote him out in 2020, or when he'd have to leave in 2024.

He would certainly be more "presidential" than the peaches-in-chief but thats about the only good thing i can say about it.
 

What makes you think the republicans will do it with glee or at all? They seem perfectly happy with sitting around like lapdogs presently.

He's bad but efficiently bad.


Still, at this point I'd take him over Trump. Trump's international rabble rousing is going to seriously damage our relationship with allies across the board, for quite a few years to come.

You underestimate the horrendous hypocrisy of Republicans. Republicans will never impeach Trump on those grounds. They'll claim that since Democrats didn't allow the full impeachment of Clinton they don't have to impeach Trump. Furthermore, even if Democrats take back control of both houses of Congress they'll need something a little more incriminating to justify a full impeachment for the same reason. Fortunately, Trump has already done enough to warrant an obstruction of justice charge.

Please. There's no way he married Melania without some kind of prenup that limits her take regardless of what ends the marriage.

I have a hard time calling much of our "allies" actual "allies"
The way i see it is, they are nothing more than wolves in sheep clothing.

As others have mentioned, the odds of this Congress impeaching this President are effectively zero. They aren't ashamed of their hypocrisy (or much of anything.) It's just part of doing the job they are being paid to do (by lobbyists.)

The notion that Melania doesn't know Trump has slept around on her is just laughable. Also there's a prenup, and I expect Trump used a competent lawyer for that one.

Sure it'll sting for it to become marginally more public, but she's already made her decision.

Pence is weak and insipid, he's a toady but at his core, he's a milquetoast, and easily cowed.
Mike Pence under a Democratic majority in both chambers is a PLACEHOLDER, running out the clock until the corruption investigation finally reaches HIS ankles, and believe me, there's enough there to scare the crap out of him.

We survived Gerald Ford, we wouldn't have survived Nixon much longer.
We can survive Pence, provided we do our JOB in November.

The rest of the world's leaders and most of our intel and military establishment don't share your bemusement.
Most of them are pretty well convinced that Trump is a loose cannon, a broken arrow waiting to go kaboom, a rogue leader.
