Army Officer Who Heard Trump’s Ukraine Call Reported Concerns

Re: Army Officer Who Heard Trump’s Ukraine Call Reported Concerns

I'm looking forward to the public testimony. When these multiple witnesses get on public television, and start describing a Quid Pro Quo that is all but certain, the 51-52% of Americans that support impeachment will skyrocket upwards to 60 or 70 percent. This will make it difficult for Republican Senators to remain in the Trump camp. And if they do, that 60-70 percent may vote them out!

something else to ponder

@brithume
This from the article: “he was deeply troubled by what he interpreted as an attempt by the president to subvert U.S. foreign policy...” There is a huge fallacy in this. Anyone know what it is? https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ed7fae-fc07-11e9-ac8c-8eced29ca6ef_story.html

If you actually went to John Jay College to study law, even for one day, you should have learned that a president threatening to withhold something of value, like military defense for a country under seige in exchange for something that would benefit himself is illegal and particularly when that military defense money was appropriated and approved by Congress with U.S. taxpayer money.

Never discussed. You have no idea what is taught in schools of criminal justice or civil law.

All you have is your own agenda and the deep seated desire for a lynching.

In order to address the specific lie(that this was about corruption in Ukraine, and not about investigating a political opponent) I need to reference things outside the phone call. Is that too complicated for you?

Not too surprising, that didn’t answer the question.

James Madison sent emissaries to the French King seek support during the War of 1812, and he requested "dirt" on his political opponent Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, who he claimed was a British agent. Pinckney was a Federalist who despised the British. Grover Cleveland requested assistance on getting "dirt" on one his political opponents from the Canadian government. Harry Truman, fearing MacArthur would run against him for the presidency, sent for derogatory statements from both Japanese and Filipino government officials. JFK received substantial info on Nixon's law firm business in Mexico from the Mexican government, hoping for "dirt." There are more presidential requests for assistance from foreign governments for self values. An American tradition. From presidents of both parties. Read about LBJ's efforts in his autobiography.

Everything you posted there is pure fiction. You're going to need a pushup bra to prop up all that BS.

Then it should be quite easy for to post the referencing material to back it up. I'll give you one example. Pinkney was serving in the South Carolina state legislature during the War of 1812. So I don't know what history books you're reading but you seem pretty blissful.

Pinkney was running against Madison. Madison whooped his behind in 1808. 1812, thanks to some underhand manipulations by Madison, Dewitt Clinton displaced Pinkney. Clinton was a weaker candidate, and Madison barely campaigned, a campaign he viewed as a distraction. Google is not your friend.

Do you expect to read those history books for you? Get off that fat derriere and do some homework.

All who watched Mueller testify in congress saw it...figurehead with no knowledge only able to defer to report.

I'm sure Swiss Swedes Germans French saw it also

No..this is literally the play book out of russia...so either you are unwillingly helping or you are willingly

It's you who needs to get off your corpulent derriere and back up the fantastical claims that you made, not I. Another fact you totally messed was that it was Washington who appointed Pinckney as minister to France where he became part of the XYZ Affair along with John Marshall and Elbridge Gerry. Jefferson later appointed Pinckney as to Minister to Spain. And if anyone was doing any manipulations in the election of 1808 it was Jefferson, who threw his support behind Madison. Dewitt Clinton was the sitting Vice President in 1808 and was renominated by the Democrat-Republicans. Pinckney was nominated by the Federalist party and was soundly trounced by Madison.

Pinckney headed back to Charleston and to leadership of the state Democratic-Republican Party. He sat in the legislature in 1805-6 and then was again elected as governor (1806-8). In this position, he favored legislative reapportionment, giving better representation to back-country districts, and advocated universal white manhood suffrage. He served again in the legislature from 1810 to 1814 and then temporarily withdrew from politics. In 1818 he went back into politics to serve in the House where he fought against the Missouri Compromise. He died in 1824.

Wait, are the "underhand manipulations" you're referencing there the same as when you say Madison sent emissaries to the French King? Because the War of 1812 lasted until 1815, but the French didn't have a King again until 1814. So which race are you claiming Madison used foreign assistance for?

Louis XVIII, Count of Provence, declared himself king in 1809 while living in exile in Prussia, recognized by the Bourbon Restoration in 1814 having entered Paris in late 1812 setting up a clandestine government of sorts. Madison's second campaign. Sending emissaries to Louis did not accomplish much, but it is the act that counts. Considering ties with Napoleonic France established with Jefferson's purchase of the Louisiana Territory, this wasn't the brightest of moves on Madison's part. Few expected Louis to find success. And of course, he ran like a scared rabbit when Napoleon returned from Elba for 100 days. Fun moments in history. And no, the emissaries to Louis had nothing to do with Madison's other underhanded manipulations.

Madison was often the lampoon target of broadsheets for his political schemes throughout his tenure. He was more paranoid than Richard Nixon by the time his second term expired.

Aw, poor fellow doesn't know how to open a book.

Then show us your books. Thus far you have gotten nearly everything about Pinckney. (whose name you still haven't learned to spell) and James Madison, their relationships with France and the respective elections correct. The only books you have opened thus far is comic books.

Well, well..... a man who has first hand knowledge of this scandal. What will Trump and his subordinates come up with to counteract his damaging testimony?

No need.

Retired Army Officer Remembers Lt. Col. Vindman as Partisan Democrat Who Ridiculed America

"He was apologetic of American culture, laughed about Americans not being educated or worldly, & really talked up Obama & globalism to the point of (sic) uncomfortable.

He would speak w/the Russian Soldiers & laugh as if at the expense of the US personnel. It was so uncomfortable & unprofessional, one of the GS [civil service]employees came & told me everything above. I walked over & sat w/in earshot of Vindman, & sure enough, all was confirmed.

One comment truly struck me as odd, & it was w/respect to American’s falsely thinking they’re exceptional, when he said, “He [Obama] is working on that now.” And he said it w/a snide ‘I know a secret’ look on his face. I honestly don’t know what it meant, it just sounded like an odd thing to say.

Regardless, after hearing him bash America a few times in front of subordinates, Russians, & GS Employees, as well as, hearing an earful about globalization, Obama’s plan, etc., I’d had enough. I tapped him on the shoulder & asked him to step outside. At that point I verbally reprimanded him for his actions, & I’ll leave it at that, so as not to be unprofessional myself.

The bottom-line is LTC Vindman was a partisan Democrat at least as far back as [2013]. So much so, junior officers & soldiers felt uncomfortable around him. This is not your professional, field-grade officer, who has the character & integrity to do the right thing. Do not let the uniform fool you…he is a political activist in uniform. I pray our nation will drop this hate, vitriol & division, & unite as our founding fathers intended"

Another antiamerican deep state operative acme scheme attempted to thwart the will of the american people.
