Three people have been arrested and there could be more after a kidnapping, armed robbery and beating that may be part of a criminal scheme targeting undocumented immigrants, Davie police said.
The abduction happened about 9 p.m. Saturday and ended about 8:45 a.m. Sunday after the victim was beaten, robbed, and threatened with death or deportation if he went to the police, said Sgt. Mark Leone.
“It is believed that this group is targeting undocumented immigrants and robbing them for their cash,” he said. “We believe that they target these undocumented immigrants because they are less likely to report being a victim of a crime to the police.”
Natalie Rebecca Williams, 34, Joshua Aaron Greiff, 30, and Andres Rafael, 31, have been charged, so far. They were among seven people involved in the crime, police said.

Let me make one point perfectly clear: the criminals behind this scheme targeted undocumented immigrants because they believed that the undocumented would be too scared to report what happened to the police because they feared they would be subsequently held for deportation.

Let me make this equally clear, Phoenix is the kidnapping capital of the US and illegals are the primary target. It isn't Americans targeting them, however, it's cartels!

So you agree that it would be better for everyone if they didn't have to live in fear of deportation if they reported crimes?
This kidnapping scheme was nowhere near the city of phoenix, it happened in a completely different state.
And the kidnappers were American.
This is why we need to grant citizenship to them - so we can get the real criminals
By pushing good, hard working and non-violent people into the shadows, we are creating an environment is which violence thrives
So somebody else from somewhere else decided to target illegals? It was bound to happen. See, criminals often prey on their fellow criminals. It isn't a new phenomenon.
Undocumented = Ain't supposed to be here. Likely to be breaking one or more laws by being here.
IOW you wish to reward breaking the law enmass.
Correct
Whenever we have created a large criminal class of people --for example, the prohibition of alcohol and recreational drug use-- we have fostered the rise of violent criminal organizations.
You would think the american people would have learned something from those examples, but obviously not.
I wish to make them legal, in which case, they would not be violating any laws
IOW, you wish to reward organized crime by providing them with potential victims they can profit from.

Except of course that we didn't create illegal aliens. They volunteered for it by coming here knowing that they'd be here illegally. You see, there's a difference between choosing to come to the US illegally, and having a law imposed on you by your own government.
With this logic why not just get rid of border laws period? Because as long as there are border laws, there will be illegals.
Thanks for giving a perfect example of why we have such a divided country.
If they weren't here they would not be a target.

Ah, so if an American Citizen rapes and kills an illegal, you’re good with that because...”they shouldna been heeah!”
You can't talk to evil people, it's a waste to try.
Illegal young girls here are free to be victimized too is the posters clear contention.
Can you imagine?
We live alongside people like this today.
It's Trump that has brought this evil underbelly to the surface.
I am appalled at your disregard of humanity.
Truly disgusting. Real Red Hat vomit.
Sure we did. By making it illegal
It is called The Law of Unintended Consequences. The right used to be big on the idea. Now, not so much.
