Arkansas mom Michelle Duggar gives birth to 18th child

I think having that many children is irresponsible. When it comes to the point that your children are raising your children--that is neglectful in my opinion. Sure the kids look happy, they may even say they're happy. But what life have these kids even lived excpet for raising their siblings?
Where does this mother find the time to nurture her children? Where do they find the time to spend quality time with each child, as each child requires? They don't. They have their older children do this for them? I don't think that is fair to the children at all. They should be able to grow as individuals and learn who they are instead of trying to raise their younger siblings. But that's just my opinion.

They totally creep me out:shock: Kids are more like slaves doing child labor rather than just being kids

Just the numbers on this lean towards at least one or two of those kids will rebel and end up in trouble. Hope I am around to read about it too:rofl

The whole Duggar family was just on the Today Show. Mrs. Duggar looked great.

When asked if someone can have too many children she said "can there be too many flowers?"

There is nothing wrong about that family.

Parents who have children in order to get a welfare check are the bad parents, not the Duggars.

Because fun to a man is carrying around 25 extra pounds, not wearing shoes because your feet are so swollen, getting sick all day long, backaches, cramping, little feet kicking your ribs 24/7, heartburn, high blood pressure, and mood swings. A barrel of fun ain't it? :lol:
 

No offense, but seeing a family on TV an hour a week is not an accurate picture of their life. At most you saw maybe 2minutes of each kid. Its not as if the show is a candid view of their lives, they are always happy and doing their chores. Can anyone say they've experienced this picture perfect lifestyle personally? Even well behaved children can be cranky and misbehave yet theirs do not. Perhaps this is the perfect christian family, but the real world suggests it is more likely a skilled TV producer and the family concerned how the world perceives them. For that matter I don't think anyone can predict what will happen to this new generation of reality TV children.

what woman in her right mind would willingly put herself through the horrors of pregnancy

good news is that atleast those too weak to handle pregnancy will be eliminated from the gene pool

no, people are debating having a large family
unlike china, we are allowed to do that here

Why should anyone mind their business? We're not the ones who put our entire family's life on display at the freak TV network TLC.

Personally I think their plan is to find partners for their kids, since they are currently lacking a normal social life.

I'm thinking that if you took Jabba the Hut and sliced him vertically from head to foot and spread the opening waaaay out you would duplicate the probable appearance of this lady's split critt...

They do show the little kids being brats sometimes. Example is on recent show when they went to visit the hospital where mommy was gonna give birth they showed them this waiting room for kids and had this big wall of lights that the kids can play with and make their own light show desgin. Well you are suppose to simply touch thiswall of lights to make it light up but a lot of those kids were Pounding on that board like crazy! Mom kept saying be quite and gentle. It was funny watching em pounding like crazy:rofl
 

Well, to be fair, Mrs. Duggar doesn't have the word "no" in her vocabulary. :lol:
 

I noticed the no yelling too, and the kids don't even get loud. Sorta surreal. You came from a family of seven. Did your mom ever yell, if she did, do you still hold animosity b/c of it?

It's called editing. :mrgreen: They may have a deal where they control what gets shown. Oh, the unreality of reality.
 

They probably have a lot of pent up anger cause none of them actually ever get any real attention from Mom and Pop. I never see all that much dishing out of attention. I mean how can one mother possibly spend a lot of one on one with any of them. She has to be doing a lot of cooking and laundry, but of course the nice little angels help with everything. TV makes everything so fake.
