Argument Against Invasion of Iraq

The United States continues to wage war with an end just now beginning to appear in the far distance on the horizon if not only in our dreams. The "War on Terror" is very cleverly worded. Almost like you would find on some corporate product. Its a war that was sold to the American people. Terror is a noun, not a defined enemy. The current enemy we find in Iraq are not terrorist, but instead, anti-occupational insurgents. Every individual has a distaste for a foreign force in their country. These individuals take it to the extremes in expressing it. So by invading Iraq the U.S. managed to create more "terrorist". These are people you would never find on the doorsteps of America wracking horror. The real terrorist are safely hidden somewhere in the world. They are among our own populace. They are among us. You cannot fight the true definition of terror with war. The only way to fight terrorism is to reduce the cause. The hate so many foreign people have for America. America to many times is looked upon as an empire. We tend to think, like the British before us. That we are raining down civilization on the world.



I have yet to close it, but its a start to speech I am making. I need some definite critiquing. Help me out people. Sorry if its in the wrong category. Wasn't sure if there was a category for something like this.
 
You may want to pick a topic that's more timely.

I think you are gathering some cliches without searching for, or showing you searched for any new truths.

To those who believe as you do you are preaching to the choir. To those who disagree with you all you have done is stir a stale can of worms.

Try this on for size.

Propose a different name for the WOT.

Think of a better response to Saddam's widely believed bluff that he had WMD's.

Come up with a way for Israel to protect herself that would not have caused a much broader war in the region or globally.

Israel is not under threat.
 
sure they are not, Iraq did not fire any rockets into Israel during desert storm.

Israel is not surrounded by enemies that want to destroy her.

No nations have ever attacked Israel.

Israel was not almost over run by Arab army's.

None of those things happened, move along.
 
Well I am convinced. I am going to write a letter to my Congressmen and ask them not to authorize the invasion.

Iran should be doing what they can do to convince the world of that or else Tehran may cease to exist as you know it.
