President Javier Milei has won plaudits for stabilizing the state's finances, but his tough austerity drive weighed on economic activity in the first months of 2024. Cuts to state spending, meanwhile, continue to hit public workers hard, with salaries falling behind inflation.

Why even mention worthless public sector "workers"? The lower their pay is the better.

For comparison: Canada 2.3%, US 2.0%, European Union average 1.1 - 1.2%

At 2% growth, the economy doubles in 35 years. At 3%, it doubles in about 23. That’s over an extra decade of prosperity.

Leftist policies destroy economic growth, which creates huge negative consequences.

US Q1 GDP was 0.2%, not 2%.

Argentina is still middle of the pack for the world poverty rate. They went from just over 50% to just under 40% last year.
I guess Milei has weathered the crypto scandal?

GDP growth is the result of spending. Spending can be done with money earned or money borrowed.

How are the people in the slums doing there?

They complain about government services, then break government services and complain even more.
And some, like our friend here, actually cheer for starving and terrifying them, and then when government fails even more, he blames government and says government workers are worthless.

Sounds like a self-own cycle.

Imagine having such a miserable life that you feel disdain for the undocumented workers who work their asses off picking your food in the crops, processing it in plants and factories under horrific conditions. Bussing your tables at a local restaurant, building your homes, landscaping your yards, cleaning your hotel rooms when you travel, detailing your car at the car wash.
Imagine having such a miserable life that you feel satisfaction in watching these people getting chased down by armed masked men and thinking "this is my America."

----and now on top of that, add utter contempt for government and public sector workers, too.
Wow, that is a lot of hate.
It would be much easier to walk around saying that you hate everybody because near as I can tell, that's the case.

Here's a news flash...those billionaires you seem to love? They hate your guts and always will, even if you become one of them, even if you are one of them already.

Sounds like you have me confused with somebody else.

And still Milei is desperate for cash, and ask Argentinians to give him their mattress dollars.
