The government is shutdown because Trump...actually Vought...wants it shut down. He can act more like the King he wishes he were with the government shutdown. Make no mistake , if he wanted them back at work he could make it happen in a New York minute.

You missed my point. Trump wants this shut down and he wants it too last a long time. He wants that time to do things that normally a President wouldst or couldn't do. He has been 100% totally disengaged from the process and that is not what leaders do.

I tried to get them to go with “No Tyrants!” as that would be a direct callback to the Constitution.

Not that MAGA gives two ****s about the Constitution, but I think it would sound better in the history books.

If , of course, we ever have actual history books not curated by the Ministry of Truth.

The GOP is morally threatened by No Kings protestors gathering in the millions across the USA today to object to President Trump unhinged behavior. Rank and File MAGA Republican leaders have began a full frontal media assault on US Citizens by calling them terrorist and the enemy with-in.

Trump has said he'll take advantage of the stupid shutdown -cant blame him for that. Don't like it? get AOC to call off the dogs.
It's a CONGRESSIONAL purview -what type of engagement do you want from the Republican leader when the House has already passed the CR?
