I'm fascinated that some here think this is an event for the Democrats. It is a request for local authorities to assist Immigration Officials in rounding up Illegals. There is no law that says they must do so. In fact there are Supreme Court decisions that clearly state that Immigration is a Federal Responsibility. Now, there is nothing illegal with saying no when someone asks you for your help. You are free to do that all day and night with no legal consequences. It would be as if I built a lousy fence and my Cattle got out. I ask you for help and you tell me no. Now, you might not be a good neighbor in my opinion, but you have committed no crime in refusing to help me.

Democrats asked, and tried to work out a deal on Medicare and ACA before this. They were told to suck it every time. Now, the situation is you need their help to get the CR going, and they are just as abrupt as you were before. Why are you mad at them? You can't treat people like dirt and expect them to do what you want. It is not like the Republicans are going to like them or start to negotiate if the CR passes. The Republicans are still going to refuse to negotiate as they have since Trump took office. If I refuse to even talk to you, why would you lift a finger to help me?

Democrats tried to work with the Republicans on the BBB. Republicans thumbed their nose and said we don't need you. Screw off. When the CR was being written and debated, again the Democrats reached out to negotiate. Again go screw yourself losers. How in the world can the Republicans act surprised that we are at an impasse? I mean supposedly the Republicans have common sense. Didn't anyone ever tell them you don't shit where you eat? Or perhaps this old one my Parents made sure I understood. Treat others as you would have them treat you? Ring a bell?

The Republicans counted on the Democrats blinking. It's been two weeks and still nothing. So keep it shut down. If the Republicans are that determined to screw the little people then let's keep on going.
