How do you explain all the indictments and gulity pleas and convictions of his associates (11) while Trump was in office? Are we no longer a nation of law and order. So, the poor people with HIV don't have the right to save their lives under these new religious laws against homosexuals. As if, that's not bad enough, it assumes you're free from HIV if you're not gay.

How does the constitution protect these people from harm? It seems it protects the rich, and the religious who feel they have some new control of this countries health and well being.

Your constitution wasn't written for us it seems. It's helping the Christian Nationalists rule our well being, and causing us to suffer. The problem with your idea can be summed up in one word, gerrymandering. In I live in Wisconsin, considered one of the most gerrymandered states in the country. If the Dems get 55% of the overall votes for state districts, they will get 33% of the seats. That is what gerrymandering can do and the right wing SCOTUS sees no problem with it. And this is why having the states decide issues like abortion is wrong. And look at Michigan, they had a petition that met state rules for going on the ballot about abortion, but the GOP turned it down on some pretense. So you can forget states doing as their voters want as one-man-one- vote is dead in this country. We move ever more quickly toward autocratic rule.

Gerrymandering has made the states presently ruled and I do mean ruled by the GOP as autocratic states. And the reason we went went from a confederacy of states to our constitution was to give the central government enough control to try and stop what is happening in GOP controlled states.
