Are Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Programs Indoctrinating kids with Marxism?

I feel like we are traveling back in time. Red Scare II, Satanic Panic II, fighting to get abortion rights federally protected...like what decade are we in?

We’ve had social emotional learning for decades. It’s what all good teachers do particularly at elementary school level. It’s part of good classroom practice. What do you think Mr. Rogers was teaching? To say that we have it “now“ is just silly and ahistorical.

Karl Marx wasn't super big on feelings, so no. Marx was a shit parent, a sly humorist, and an insightful philosopher. But Marx studied the big historical forces that emerged from the demise of feudalism and Christendom, not how to raise children who aren't yet able to give language to their emotion.

If so, what are we going to do about the scourge of teaching kindergartners to share?

I don't know, are Marxists better people than other groups?
