But extremist's ideology comes from right and left, like ELF. Of course liberals would never claim them, but their political bent comes from the left. The nut in the OP didn't like health care reform. Now from which side of the political spectrum would he most likely come from?
The thing is, to actively denounce them. I notice a reluctance in some quarters of the right, to do that. Why won't the Tea Party folks denounce the racists and loons that attend their events?
Even here, someone has posted they would like to see Pelosi returned to the "ecology". When folks from the conservative side of the spectrum won't denounce the loons, it leads us to believe they condone the behavior and thus are welcome in their ranks.
Didn't take long for the guilt-by-association games to get started.
I don't know about guilt by association, but the conservatives in this thread? They're guilty by their own words, it looks like to me. Truly astounding.
I am so surprised by the whackjobs right here in this forum that I really can't put your accusations against the liberals into context. We just had a veritable parade of conservative whackjobs of the highest order, and you, all you see is the liberals making people guilty by association. Interesting, to say the very least.
I hear Pelosi is acutally a vampire that sucks the life force from children.
You'd have to ask them. I can see the point of not wanting to give folks like this any more press than they are getting. I can also see the positives of public denouncement. It could go either way.
I can see only positives coming from the issuing of a denouncement of the racists and crazies that are tagging along with the Tea Party. It starts with no longer having to defend themselves from charges of racism so they could spend time talking about their message. That is larger issue to me, than not giving them press. I would not want to be associated with them in any way and would everything in my power to make them unwelcome. I'm uninterested in their message and don't take them seriously as long as they the whackos are allowed space at Tea Party events.
I too wish death upon people who I have a philosophical disagreement with.
The difference is that when a liberal wackjob threatens a Republican, it's dog bites man. When a conservative wackjob threatens a Democrat, it's man bites dog.
If every left-wing loon getting arrested for an asinine political statement made DP, you'd be scrolling for minutes to see it all.
oh, you mean like "palling around with terrorists"......
This is some of the finest political hackery I've every seen. :thumbs:What really bothers me is that these are not just one or two isolated whack jobs who just happened to do this type of thing once in a decade or two.
Ever since the so called PATRIOTS " of the Tea PARTY gang has declared it's faux "outrage" against the govenmrnt especially Democrats we have had an epidemic of deaths threats, Congressmen/Senators being called "niggers or baby killers' etc. It is not ust the TEA PARTIERS who have spawned this whack job behavior look at what that so called "news" network Faux News and slugs like Saun Vannity and Glenn Wreck has encouraged.
You can spew out just so many lies and out right hatred against a party, people, and the government before a bunch of idiots will commit a criminal act.
This has gne beyond stupid name calling by stupid people and we now have the spawn commtting crimes.

Stalking again. But you're right, I know it when I see it.You should know.

Huh? There's no mention of either in the article. Do you something relevant to add, or are you just making **** up?
How is fear mongering not relevant to this man's action?
Do you think that if Fox News and the rest of Conservative media did not bash Pelosi and the Obama administration with terms such as "Stalinist, Communist, Maoist" and overly giving the appearance that liberals are a cancer on America, that this person would have any idea who Pelosi was or why to hate her?
Without the disgustingly slant media (both sides of the aisle) the average person would not know how to think about policies; it's called political hot boxing.
I think you're making a whole lot out of nothing. Unless of course you can prove this guy was influenced by Fox or the "Conservative" media (whatever that is). Or is it just partisan hackery and conspiracy theories on your part?
Fox News and the Tea Party gets an honorable mention for spewing bull**** that was destined to demand fear and anger from people too irrational to decrypt entertainment from fact.

Gregory Giusti's 83-year-old mother had not heard that her son had been arrested, but she told ABC7 he has a history of mental problems. She does not think he would be capable of carrying out the threat; he has never owned a gun, and she blames Fox News for getting her son worked up.
Giusti was arrested Wednesday afternoon for threatening Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi over recent healthcare legislation. …
Here you go.
Gregory Giusti's 83-year-old mother had not heard that her son had been arrested, but she told ABC7 he has a history of mental problems
To say he was not influence by Fox News or Conservative media is naive at best. Even the most sane people are influenced by Liberal and Conservative slanted media.
It is not a conspiracy theory. Media influences the way people think about politics.
Influence is not the same as making people do crazy ****. Care to take another crack at proving your assertion?
But it's still influence.
But it's still influence.
But it's still influence.
Okay, since you stepped into the middle of this, prove it. Prove that Fox News made this guy do this. Definitive proof, no blogs or anecdotes.
Ready...GO!
How is that relevant to anything I said?oh, you mean like "palling around with terrorists"......
