Anyone listening to trump's whatever kind of speech he's giving?

I was gone today and turned the TV on when I got home. Trump was in the middle of a rally in NC. I probably only saw about 30-40 minutes of the tail end of it. I LOVED it. Trump was strong and confident and clear about his points! Since the assassination attempt on him and the crazy number of huge changes within the Dem party and ticket, Trump seemed to be off his game, taking too much bait, and short on confidence. Not today! My gosh, did he ever show up as a leader exuding confidence and ready to go. That was really strong, very present and focused, and confident.

My husband was in his office watching and came out right after expressing the exact same view.

I'd say Trump is more than ready to take on Kamala Harris now. It took him a minute to adjust to recent events, but Trump appears to be all in now!

Since I am unable to watch, I can't tell you the relief I feel from you and your husband's excellent review.

Fight the good fight!

MAGA.

Good! What time? I look forward to it. Trump is clearly wanting to show how willing he is to answer anything from anyone. What a fabulous contrast and I so applaud his boldness and willingness to glaringly show that contrast!
Good God.

Sone people actually enjoy this crap.

Answering questions, by whom? I didn't see him take questions but then again I didn't see the whole thing. I do agree he is showing Americans the difference between him and Harris but I don't think it's working the way he wanted.

He is off to brain dead elderly rapist land again...

The poster says he plans to do a news conference tomorrow (comment 73). I hadn't heard that before this thread and that comment.

Today was a rally, not a news conference. A news conference would nearly always include questions or even be all questions/answers.

Today was not a rally, it was specifically said by the trump people, it's not a rally, it's an economic plan they said.

Okay, thanks.

I didn't even know it was scheduled until I walked in and saw it. And I was unaware of the news conference tomorrow, until this thread.

His last presser he lied/misstated/distorted over 160 times. Maybe he can break his record tomorrow.

162 lies and distortions in a news conference. NPR fact-checks former President Trump

There were a host of false things that Donald Trump said during his hour-long news conference Thursday that have gotten attention.

A glaring example is his helicopter emergency landing story, which has not stood up to scrutiny.

But there was so much more. A team of NPR reporters and editors reviewed the transcript of his news conference and found at least 162 misstatements, exaggerations and outright lies in 64 minutes. That’s more than two a minute. It’s a stunning number for anyone – and even more problematic for a person running to lead the free world.

How long before crowd-size came up?

This thread isn't about debates, but it seems voters want them. New Fox News polling came out today showing Trump and Harris basically tied, just one point apart which is just the same as it was for Trump and Biden in the last Fox News poll (July).

But this is in that new poll, and I think it's interesting.

"Seventy-four percent of voters say it is extremely or very important to have debates between Harris-Trump, a 10-point increase in the number who felt that way about Biden-Trump debates in May. Three-quarters of both Democrats and Republicans say debates are important, as do two-thirds of Independents."

Looking forward to Time naming Kamala person of the year when she is elected.

Maybe not such a great thought, Time once named Adolph Hitler "Man of the Year".
