Anyone else having major trouble reaching this site consistently?

Every page I've tried to load today comes back first w/ a "this site is taking too long to respond" error.

Can't tell if this is server side where everyone is having this experience
Or if the issue is with the internet between my machine and DP's machines.

Switched to my work VPN and traffic is normal acting.

Alright, that's unrelated as traffic between me and DP is now behaving normally w/o regard to the VPN.So maybe my router needed coffee?

It's been terrible this morning. I usually have no trouble here at work, but today every DP page takes 2-3 attempts to load and loads at dial up speed. I have facebook in another tab and it's fine (also not usually a problem).

Hopefully. I'm using my phone right now, so maybe that's making a difference somehow? I dunno.

DP's responsiveness seems to be good more consistently when I use one of the VPNs from work.

So maybe there's an issue with our ISPs.

Don't really want to send my traffic over my work's network.
Not that they care, but all the same.

You're just starting from a different network's all.

The fact that things're going well for you and presumably others lead me to suspect that the issues is in the connections between me and DP.

Perhaps clearing your cache may help?

I haven't cleared the cache, but the issue persists across browsers.
I have not found a similar issue with any other sites yet.
Using my work's VPN consistently eliminates the issue.

It seems if this were a local hardware issue, it would persist despite w/e network I was connected to and across all sites.

I think someone at my ISP has mis-configured something again.
E.g. the other night we lost internet as our ISP had our external IP address set to 192.168.1.100 and our gateway was set to 192.168.1.10.
That lasted about 20 minutes before we were given an actual external IP address again.

I suspect there's some gunk in the works somewhere.
Hopefully it'll be straightened before to very long.

Many times if it's only affecting a handful of people (which is 95+% of the time), I would suggest running a traceroute to www.debatepolitics.com. I just ran one and it sent me from SW FL to Atlanta to Los Angeles to St. Louis to Atlanta to Orlando to the host (in Orlando). There weren't any huge lags between jumps which means that I'm not having an issue with my ISP in terms of dropped packets. If there was a huge lag or no response from a jump, that means it's an ISP issue and it has nothing to do with the site or our host. Obviously if everyone is affected, that's most likely the host or at least the server the site resides on. This doesn't happen very often. There are plenty of people on staff that know how to reach me if the site is down so that I can initiate the investigation and contact the host if need be in order to get the site back up.
