What ever became of the anthrax scare just before 9/11?

"On October 9, 2001, Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) blocks an attempt to rush the Patriot Act to a vote with little debate and no opportunity for amendments.

"Also on October 9, identical anthrax letters are postmarked in Trenton, New Jersey, with lethal doses to Senators Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy."

The anthrax was traced to the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

Death intimidation to push the politicians to pass through the bill Feds wanted. Anthrax used in Patriot Act. That's for FBI. Former FBI head Loius Freeh had push the similar bill to Patriot Act after OKC bombing but failed. They got it after 911.

Similar tactic used for Iraq war authorization Bill. That was DC sniper shooting spree done by Muhammud and Malve.

10/2/2002: House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Minority Leader Richard Gephardt introduced the bill (H. J. Res 114) to authorize the use of armed force against Iraq.

. . First 2 shooting: Same day in evening, sniper started his shooting spree. 1st shot was at a Craft-store window, broke the glass but hurt no one. It might be a declaration of the start of shooting by sniper. Then a man was killed in a grocery parking lot.

Politicians passed the bill ten days later. Bush signed it on 10/16.

The sniper spree started at the same day when the bill (H.J. res 114) "authorizing the use of armed force against Iraq" was introduced to the House. Six deaths within first 28 hours shocked the country, especially those lived in the DC area. Senators were warned it was dangerous to be in golf field. The shooting continued, maintained a terror pressure on politicians. On Oct. 11, 9:30 am, the eleventh shooting made a last push on Senators. Later that day, Senate passed the bill.

Bush signed the bill on 10/16. Out of 14 shootings, 12 were done before 10/16. The later two shootings were viewed as smoke to cover up the real purpose.

This is true and thanks for the tip.

This is just something I just started to recall and should have checked the exact dates..

Just curious if it relates somehow to keeping congress from looking into 9/11?

It would have killed two birds with one stone by both swaying the emotions of the masses about rogue countries with WMD's (Iraq etc.) and simultaniously keeping pressure from above on our government?

Pure speculation but the anthrax surely had some perpose.....

I see this was investigated as intensely as 9/11...

Do you realize that there was about ten times as much more money spent investigating Bill Clinton's sex scandel than there was spent on investigating 9/11...

Shouldn't it logically have taken about a HUNDRED times MORE money spent on investigating 9/11 compared to Clinton?....

What say you?
