Man, I'm all for that one. I keep the remote in my hand, just to turn down the volume on commercials.----Back in the stone age, when cable first came out, the selling point was "No commercials" Seems they forgot that part. Here's a poll for you.
Meanwhile, a bill has passed the House, making it illegal for stations and networks to "pump up the volume" on commercials. At first blush, this seems like a good law to pass, since is pisses me off to no end to get my ears literally blown off by loud commercials, when I am attempting to watch a TV show. However, don't you think there are more important things our Congresscritters could be doing in Washington? Namely, attempt to get spending under control?

Poll is here.
Did you click the link to get to the poll?
I keep an eye pealed for good deals on "Depends" :mrgreen:I'm in favor of it though from my experience it is only the broadcast channels and those related to them that have the problem of being loud. Of course now since they general service the Senior Citizens you have to get their attention and sell that Pollodent (TM)
What am I supposed to do when I hear a loud commercial or a telephone solicitor ignores the "do not call" list? Call the police? Stop wasting time making all these unnecessary laws. Push the mute button or fast forward the commercials or don't watch television.
This... isn't something the Government should have anything to do with. Good Lord we're turning into a pathetic bunch of morons.
Here's one. :comp:Name one bill that congress has passed in last 20 yrs that has improved your life more than this anti-loud commerical law will.......................
This is congress's finest moment.
Who authored this law? Make him or her president,,,,,my god, this is genius.

The basis is that the public owns the airwaves, and thus our proxies in congress can regulate how they are used.

Report it to the FCC. The network carrying the commercial will likely receive a hefty fine
I would rather abolish the FCC and keep the loud commercials.
The FCC performs many important tasks. For example, they regulate the radio spectrum. Abolishing the FCC would not be a good thing
