In a Monday afternoon news release, the groups cited several gun incidents at the site during Tiller’s years at the clinic, the unwillingness of South Wind’s security to communicate with them to “defuse violence” before it occurs and the antagonism of South Wind escorts toward anti-abortion demonstrators.
In addition, the groups say it is inappropriate for schoolchildren to see the protests and graphic signs associated with a clinic performing abortions.
“The reason they cite is that we’re a nuisance to the neighborhood,” said Julie Burkhart, the executive director of Trust Women, which opened the clinic. “From our perspective, it’s the anti crowd and their protests that are the nuisance.”
Eh, I'm okay with whatever excuse works to shut down an abortion mill.

In other words, it's 'backwards day' in Kansas. Stop with the protests and et voila! Problem solved.
They shouldn't have set up shop there to begin with. However, it's probably good that they see what exactly it is they are putting people through. Not fun, is it.
For you it goes without saying.
For you it goes without saying.
You know, Moot...for the life of me, I don't remember Jay ever truly making any post that genuinely explains his extreme regard for the unborn...and his extreme disregard for women who choose to have an abortion. It's alway name calling, derogatory comments, etc...but...I don't have a clue, really. Do you?
I believe it's the predictable consequence of embracing Moral Perversion
I guess I'll have to go with that until we get a better explanation....if there is one.
This is my favorite comment.
You mean the anti-abortion people murdered him. Not "those people." Anti-abortion christians murdered him. Anti-abortion people murdered a doctor. I just want to be clear with you so you understand. Murder. The anti-abortion people murdered someone.
An abortion mill?
It is kind of like you believe that is all that is going on there.
That is the disconnect that occurs with the spewing about Planned Parenthood. Folks do not realize that they are in the business of preventing unwanted pregnancies. Folks do not seem to care that they do cancer screening and some cancer treatment. They do not seem to care that they offer preventative care, HIV screening and referrals. HEll, do folks even realize they treat men?
But yeah, refer to it as an abortion mill. It does nothing to further the discussion - but at least it gives you some weird kind of warm fuzzies to say it.
I agree.
That clinic provides a wide range of Sevices and does not perform any abortions past 14 weeks gestation even though Kansas law allows legal abortions past 14 weeks gestation.
Kind of like Planned Parenthood. While the protesters are busy protesting and sometimes harassing individuals entering the clinic, they are scaring off and stigmatizing those going in. Nice way to treat people who are trying to be responsible and prevent unwanted pregnancy. Hell some groups advocate taking pictures of women entering these clinics. SO even if they are not there for abortion they are stigmatized as if they are. The sick thing is that PP offers sliding scale affordable care to those without insurance who do not qualify for Medicaid. So, they are having choices limited by folks who are willing to stigmatize 97% while wagging their fingers and cameras at the 3 %.
Stupid stupid stupid. Abortion will always be legal and if not legal, available. The thing to do is to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Improvements in male birth control methods would be a major boon. But cheap, safe, effective, affordable birth control is the way to prevent the abortions that stem from unwanted pregnancy.
I saw Dennis Miller perform live once. (back before he became a right wing talking head) he had a joke that layed me out and went something like this....
"An anti-abortion protester shot and killed a doctor outside his clinic today. Which confuses me because isn't that like aborting a fetus in its 160th trimester" badaboom
"Anti-choicer" in the title, "pro-birther" in the thread.
What a steaming load of derpy flamebait.
Do you say the same of those speaking of murder and execution when it comes to abortion?
Hey, as long as nobody gives a **** what happens to the baby after it's done baking, pro-birther it is.
