I read in another thread where some lefty was going on about Trump's health, saying that Vance will probably be president pretty soon. You just have to laugh at these guys because they've got nothing else. But, it made me wonder, how many on here would rather Trump not be president anymore in favor of Vance? Would you rather still have Trump as president or would you rather have Vance take over? Those are the only two choices. Believe it or not, my wife actually leans left and voted for Kamala Harris and she's told me that she hopes Trump holds out all four years because she would rather have Trump as president than Vance. What say you?

I'd rather see Trump serve out the remainder of his term then retire in great health. Vance will have two terms to follow...

Trump, because there's a great deal of meticulous, willful evil coming from the real powers behind the throne, such as Stephen Miller, who wish to work through him, that first has to filter through his incompetence, narcissism and impulsivity, and often do so unsuccessfully or with mixed results; with Vance, that may not be as much of an issue.

I also think that people who believe that all the bad policy will simply go away and dissipate with Trump's departure are sorely naïve and mistaken; the evidence of a coordinated, broad based attempt by Conservatives to pervert and twist American society into an uglier, more fascistic form is abound, with Project 2025 making that abundantly clear.

I voted for Trump in the recent election. I will vote for Vance if he opts to run in the next Presidential election.

The OP question is stupid. However, I notice that most of the members who opted in this poll for Vance are the same members who supported Kamala. I wonder if they would choose Vance in the next election, or are they just voting that way in this poll to show their opposition to Trump?

I think it is just to show their opposition to Trump. (That's why polls like this in this Forum have no value except to reinforce how many members suffer from TDS).

Hard to say.

Vance is more coherent, articulate, and intelligent, so in some ways he might be more effective.

But he doesnt have Trumps confidence and gravitas, so he'd be unlikely to twist the GOP into doing what he wants as much as Trump can.
