I'm on record at being against military support for Ukraine for 2 reasons. They are not NATO and they are a world leader in human trafficking. Now add to the list NAZI emblems being worn by Ukraine soldiers. So the reports are true

Earlier, a man with an SS-style patch was present among President Vladimir Zelensky’s security detail

Footage of a Ukrainian soldier, wearing the insignia of a notorious SS brigade, emerged online this week, as the Kiev forces moved towards the city of Kherson following withdrawal of the Russian troops.

The videos, presumably posted online by the soldier himself, show the Ukrainian fighter sporting on his helmet the patch with two crossed stick hand grenades – the emblem of Dirlewanger Brigade, known for mass murder of civilians and other war crimes committed during World War II.

The display of the insignia, popular among neo-Nazis, has met a mixed reaction online, with even some of those who support Ukraine in the ongoing conflict condemning the soldier’s choice, given the especially brutal record of the SS brigade.

Known as the Black Hunters, and later into WWII as the 36th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, the brigade was a penal unit composed of convicted criminals and led by a notorious war criminal Oskar Dirlewanger. The brigade is known for its role in suppressing the Warsaw uprising and the Wola massacre – the indiscriminate and systematic killing of between 40,000 and 50,000 civilians, including women and children, in the Wola district of the Polish capital.

That's a weak rebuttal <>

"Russian propaganda outlet running article claiming to be proof of Russian propaganda justifying atrocity-soakedRussian war of aggression is not rebuttal!"

What? In Russia rebuttal makes you?
_______________

It's ****ing open Russian state-owned media. Why should any sane American trust a geopolitical opponent about something like that?

That's a weak rebuttal but typical. I don't blame you, I don't like seeing this either. Why are we supporting Nazi's?
If I was supporting Nazis I would be supporting Russians. I also have an ounce of integrity and would NEVER reference RT. Read what you will into that comment.

We aren't. You fell for Russian propaganda again.

From the link. The video on twitter speaks for itself.

I didn't say the man with the helmet didn't exist. I said we aren't supporting Nazis in Ukraine any more than we are supporting them in America by allowing members of the Oath Keepers to enlist in the United States Military.

NATO shares image of Ukrainian soldier wearing Nazi insignia; deletes it later

he official Twitter account of NATO on Tuesday tweeted a picture of a Ukrainian woman soldier with a Nazi insignia on the uniform, stating that the Ukrainian women were a symbol of strength for their nation.

9 March, 2022

On Tuesday, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) tweeted a picture of a Ukrainian woman soldier with a Nazi symbol on the uniform and said that the Ukrainian women were a symbol of strength for their nation. NATO later deleted the tweet realizing that the post included a picture of a women soldier wearing the black sun symbol.

“All women must live free and equal. This international women’s day, we think of the remarkable women of Ukraine. Their strength, bravery and resilience are symbolic of the spirit of their nation #IWD2022”, the tweet by the official Twitter account of NATO read.

OMFG! STOP THE AID NOW1!!1!1!1

I just saw someone with a Che shirt. Must have been a commie...

And that guy wearing a Rebel flag belt buckle must be a soldier in the CSA.

I've seen Nazi flags at certain rallies here in the US...That means all Republicans are Nazis... Fine people on both sides... Etc.. Lol

But anyway.. But Putin is an ex-KGB... He's killing thousands of innocents.. To hell with him and Russia...

This is the same argument you made in the OP. Showing two soldiers out of more than a million with patches that you claim are "Nazi symbols" is not an argument. It is propaganda. The Ukrainian president is Jewish. Ukraine is not a country of Nazis. They are, however, a country of free people fending off an invasion from an army of savage and inhumane terrorists from an autocratic state, and deserve the support of the entire world to retain their sovereign right to their country.

So you're OK if American troops started wearing Nazi patches? Why does the Ukraine leadership allow it?

You say that like the Lehi didn't bend over backwards trying to ally with Nazi Germany. Going "but they have a Jewish president"! is not any excuse for the fact that they clearly have a massive issue with Neo Nazi scum running rampant

Ukraine’s Zelensky Shares Image of Soldier with Nazi “Totenkopf” “Death Head” Insignia, then Deletes it

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked World War II Victory Day by sharing an image of a Ukrainian soldier wearing the ‘death’s head’ patch of an elite Nazi Waffen SS unit. While the picture was soon deleted from his social media, the Ministry of Defense in Kiev also posted the photo.

The offending item was placed on Instagram and Telegram by Zelensky, on Monday. In it, a soldier next to an artillery gun wears the ‘death’s head,’ or “totenkopf” insignia of the 3rd SS Panzer Division, a unit of elite Nazi soldiers infamous for committing numerous war crimes and massacres of French civilians and Polish Jews. Zelensky himself is of Jewish heritage.

Ukrainian Soldiers Filmed Wearing SS Insignia Deny Neo-Nazi Links

Ukrainian volunteer soldiers have been broadcast on German television wearing helmets with Nazi symbols.

The soldiers, reportedly from the Azov battalion, were shown on German public broadcaster ZDF wearing uniforms decorated with Nazi motifs, including swastikas and lightning bolt-like runic symbols of the SS, a World War II Nazi paramilitary organisation.

The footage was captured by a camera team from Norway's TV2. Oystein Bogen, a foreign affairs correspondent at TV2 told NBC: "We were filming a report about Ukraine's Azov battalion in the eastern city of Urzuf when we came across these soldiers.

A soldier from Vladimir Zelensky’s bodyguard had previously been photographed with an SS skull and crossbones on his vest. Now, among the advancing troops in Cherson, Ukrainian soldiers have again been spotted wearing the emblem of the infamous SS Dirlewanger Assault Brigade.

As Ukrainian forces advanced into the city of Kherson after the withdrawal of Russian troops, footage of Ukrainian soldiers wearing the insignia of the notorious SS-Sturmbrigade Dirlewanger on their helmets and vests has surfaced on social media.

The videos and images, believed to have been posted online by the soldiers themselves, show a Ukrainian fighter wearing a badge with two crossed hand grenades on his helmet – the emblem of the Dirlewanger Assault Brigade known for horrific mass murders of Poles, Jews and Russians and other war crimes during World War II.

The display such badges – which seems to be very popular with Ukrainian neo-Nazis – met with strong reactions in the internet community. Even among those supporting Ukraine in the ongoing conflict, there were those who condemned the wearing of this badge given the SS brigade’s particularly brutal historical record.

Just as the presence of some Nazi flags at a Trump rally does not mean all Republicans are Nazis, so do the appearance of a Neo-Nazi insignia on a Ukrainian soldier mean all Ukrainians are Nazis.
