ANOTHER CLASS MOVE BY THE GENDER CONFUSED

It had nothing to do with the Christian faith, nor Jesus, nor Lionardo DiVinci's Last Supper. It was a bacchanal supper with symbolism of many people throughout history like Marie Antionette without her head. It didn't appeal to me, but Jesus following wasn't part of the message as they announced and explained when it was shown.
This is where Chrunchtime and VySky say..."Oh. Never mind."

Your comments typify liberal doublespeak. The mockery of the Last Supper was unnecessary. If they need to mock something they just need to look in the mirror. Much of the world is tired of the drag queens and the gay parades.
If either Catholicism or Christianity is unable or unwilling to withstand and survive a bit of satire/mockery, the movements may as well fade away into obscurity and eventually into nothingness.

But we all know that this won't happen, because both Catholicism and Christianity have withstood and survived centuries of mockery and outright persecution. So, the angst and outrage expressed at the replaying of the The Last Supper are more the emotional reactions of those who want to control the lives of others by demonizing "drag queens and gays".

Conservative religious belief is ignorant outrage as performance art.

If whacking off is a sin, I'm doomed by my teenage years...
If their god is all powerful( They believe it created the universe and everything in it) and knows all (omniscient) then sin cannot possibly exist because omniscience and free will are incompatible. Sin is impossible because it requires free will which doesn't exist if their sky daddy is omnipotent.

If their all powerful and all knowing god doesn't like trans people then why does she keep making so many of them? Why did their god create logic if it is such a problem for believers? maybe they should pray about that too?

BTW, Dionysus/Bacchus predated the idea of Jesus by more than 1000 years.

Dionysus, in Greco-Roman religion, a nature god of fruitfulness and vegetation, especially known as a god of wine and ecstasy. The occurrence of his name on a Linear B tablet (13th century bce) shows that he was already worshipped in the Mycenaean period, although it is not known where his cult originated. In all the legends of his cult, he is depicted as having foreign origins.

Why can't you just go to church and leave the rest of us alone
Because that's not enough. Nor is practicing the spirit of Christianity: not judging others, helping those in need.

The question today is if Christianity will survive the explicit politicization of their religion, especially in such brutish, unloving, and nasty ways. Their numbers are spiraling downwards in the U.S.

Not to say, nakedly hypocritical: Southern Baptist Convention in 1998 responded to President Clinton's affair with Lewinsky: "Tolerance of serious wrong by leaders sears the conscience of the culture, spawns unrestrained immorality and lawlessness in the society, and surely results in God's judgment."

But Donald Trump? God's Messinger!!!

Sin is sin. It’s got nothing to do with opening up your hearts. No one in that picture is really happy. Jesus never taught us to sin against out own bodies like sodomites.
And, because Christ never told us to do something, it's therefore forbidden as a sin?

Who taught you that?

That wasn't in the Baltimore Catechism of my long ago childhood. None of the nuns preached it.

Well, the judges and Justices....

Controlling the lives of everyone else has been and remains uppermost in the agendas of so-called christians.

"Unnecessary" as in many of the events around the globe are "unnecessary".

But they're staged anyway, and the planet keeps on turning. In the end, so what that Catholicism/Christianity appears to some to have been mocked? It's not a big deal - or any kind of deal.

I suspect your outrage is rather faux.

And yet -- Leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention, America's largest Protestant denomination, stonewalled and denigrated survivors of clergy sex abuse over almost two decades while seeking to protect their own reputations, according to a scathing 288-page investigative report issued Sunday.

Does anyone know what the hell @Crunchtime is talking about?

He seems to be outraged by the spectacle of the opening of the Paris games. The consecutive media is confused the depiction of Dionysus/Bacchus as drag queens in DiVinci's last supper because they don't understand ancient Greek and Roman mythology. Spreading outrage among their troglodytes is more important then educating them to the truth of ancient history/mythology.

By definition sin doesn't exist unless you beleive in the divine.

So your words are empty.

So you don't think the OP has read the classics. Maybe comic book form?

What is it like being offended and outraged all the time? Seems like it would be exhausting...
I dunno. Ask a Lib of DP. that's their specialty.

I do but it seems you have difficulties understanding posts and I could explain what he means but it is so obvious that I am mystified that anyone has trouble with it. Well, maybe with one exception.

Yeah it's stupid bullshit, ergo people with whom it resonates are stupid, and believe in bullshit

What? I watched the entire Olympic opening ceremony and never noticed any drag queens. I thought the person in the middle of the Last Supper table was just a large woman. Figures Fox would feature THIS after the opening ceremony in Paris was nothing short of fantastic.
