On April 23, Zelensky once again refused to negotiate with Russia, despite ongoing losses on the front lines.

According to Trump, Ukraine is losing up to 5,000 people per week—a number that’s hard to dismiss.

The continuation of the war without any attempts at diplomacy increases the pressure on the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is eroding the country from within.

Peace initiatives are consistently rejected, while civilians continue to live in constant danger.

Even Western allies are increasingly voicing doubts about the effectiveness of the current strategy. Do you believe the refusal to negotiate is justified, or is it a strategic mistake that could cost Ukraine dearly?

Before we go much further, who started the war?

Peace initiatives are consistently rejected...

Ukraine wants some form of security guarantee to even consider an agreement. What has been proposed along those lines that they have rejected?

It is justified but a mistake.

Increasingly we are exposed to a crop of people who love to promote the Putin line, the only question I would have, are they paid in dollars or rubles.

What war? Lavrov says Russia hasn't even invaded Ukraine.

Now this is cute, quoting TASS. I mean seriously, is this even for real? I mean who believes TASS? Rhetorical question?

Reasoning: Propaganda, Conspiracy, Poor Sourcing
Bias Rating: RIGHT-CENTER
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Country: Russia
MBFC’s Country Freedom Rating: TOTAL OPPRESSION
Media Type: News Agency
Traffic/Popularity: Medium Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY

Did I say I believe them? I just thought it was funny.

Negotiate what? He has been negotiating with Europe. Trump basically wants to give Putin everything and Ukraine gets nothing in return except having to give up minerals to the US. It's basically a Trump extortion racket.

According to Trump... is the big thing here. He once swore up and down that we've spent $300B on Ukraine aid.

And then we have his "envoy" TWitkoff who, during a talk with Russian Propagandist Tucker Carlson, spouted off Russian talking points.

The reason he won't negotiate with Putin is that Putin won't negotiate. Putin isn't even looking for an offramp, there were missle attacks on Kiev last night. Putin only continues making demands and for Ukraine to surrender now would be to reward him for starting the war.

Why should he negotiate with Putin when it's obvious Putin doesn't want to end the war?

How do you define "deplomacy"?? Given that over the past 10 years, Putin has repeatedly broken ceasefires and treaties no less than 25 times, what do you think negotiations should involve if they do not assure Ukraine being attacked by Russia again? Hmm? Russia and Ukraine were in a negotiated ceasefire just a few days ago, and Putin broke that yet again by rocket fire on Kyiv just earlier this week. Why should Zelensky even sit in negotiations without the assurance first of a total withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine - OR Ukrainian membership with NATO and a NATO presence on the ground in Ukraine?

Before Putin's invasions of sovereign Ukrainian territory, Russia had a negotiated treaty with them. Who broke it?
