Ann Coulter Begs Conservatives to ‘Stop Pushing Strict Limits on Abortion’

I disagree. There is no necessity for two parties. Let the GOP stand or fail on its own. The sooner the better. Moderates have enough voting power to create their own party as republicans grew out of the ashes of the whigs. Problem solved.

Three parties is only a transitional state; it's not at all stable. It may result in replacement (Republicans replacing Whigs) or it may fall back into the same two parties (Progressives failing to replace Republicans.) A center party would take more from one party than the other (just noise in the system would be enough) and then that wing stops voting for them because they're vote splitting.

Given time it could change, but only by changing the method of election. Without huge regional differences (eg India) or unresolved stateship demands (eg UK), First Past The Post drags heavily towards Only Two Finalists. Proportional representation is too much to ask because both parties would oppose it. But a more modest step, Ranked Choice Voting, would sometimes result in a minor party having the deciding votes in the House. Voters could then decide if they like that and want to keep Ranked Choice.

It said that the conservative loser trashed her in his concession speech, that he "attacked and insulted" her.

And this was/is a judge on a bench deciding people's lives? What kind of irresponsible, biased garbage is this?

Seems like the people had him figured out.

Who indeed wants an mean spirited ideologue who wants to tell people how to run the own bodies, but also, can't even lose with a bit of class?

Ann is right and I can't agree with her more.

We need TWO healthy political parties that can work together for our constitutional democratic republic to survive.

I have been saying this since last year, republicans will see losses in elections for years.

Choice has the overwhelming support of the majority and even more women.

Republicans are stupid for continuing to take body autonomy from women. It's all too extreme and will only result in women and children suffering, crime increasing, poverty increasing and very few women will ever vote for a republican ever again.

The arrogance of republicans doesn't allow them to see the millions of women suffering now because of their horrible forced birth laws. Women are registering to vote in droves and they are voting. They are voting straight democrat too.

I used to vote a mixed ballot for years. I voted for the person, not the party. I started to see in the early 2000s what the Republican Party was becoming. Then saw what they became when Obama became president. The republicans have sent me, a life long Independent running in horror from what the Republican Party has become.

I used to vote for the Republican, if the Dem was incompetent, unethical or too strident, or of the Republican was moderate, and had sufficient seniority experience to protect the state interest and provide a 'competence shield' against stupid mistakes.. I recall voting for both Bob Packwood, and Mark Hatfield as Republican Senators, as well as Republican Tom McCall for Governor. In all kinds of state and local offices, If I wasn't comfortable with the Democrat, or if the Republican was doing the job well, I saw no reason to vote him out to plop in a Dem. Since Trump and MAGA, I just can't. Even the good ones, the moderate ones, in local or state office are too risky. They have virtually all turned into cowards, willing to sell their souls and integrety to survive the Trump era.

Polls have always shown good support for restrictions, though not a total ban.

Thats the republican party’s responsibility to figure out then. I definitely cannot do it. I cant even relate one iota to this trump cult.

The days of 'needing two parties' are gone for now. It's hard to think of a time in the US's history when we 'needed two parties'. We've had either zero or one good parties. *Any* form of modern Republicans are a disaster, whether the nuts or the oligarchs. Non-Progressive Democrats offer little if anything over Progressives. We don't 'need' a 'good Republican Party' in terms of any possible party today.

That's not to say there isn't a demand for more parties.

As long as there are billionaires, there will be money to create demand for things to benefit them. Hey, there's a war on Christmas, there are open borders, there are gun grabbers, don'tcha know? And Woke, national crisis.

But the issue for the country is basically oligarchy or equality and democracy. Any two parties we need are both for more equality and democracy.

The otherwise perplexing sight of good Republicans refusing to renounce him, comes down to fear of a split.

Trump owes his one term to the Republican party. Except he will never believe it. Gratitude or loyalty are for weak people, is how he sees it.

They got a lot of votes for being on that side of the issue for those 50 years. It's why they made it a priority.

They didn't get all they wanted. What they got was state rights to legislate on abortion, and now their most extreme states are going too far, they should realize that putting a federal limit on the states is where the votes are. Instead, I think they will back those states and try to restrict abortion nationally. And it will cost them the House.

It's a bit like getting drunk. It feels better and better until suddenly you realize you've had one too many. Then vomiting is the only way out. But Republicans have "friends" urging them to drink even more: the States.

So the person who said that George Tiller wasn't murdered but "aborted in the 203rd trimester" is now concerned about anti abortion zealotry losing elections for GOP zealots?

She can go **** herself.
She is filth.

Women will never trust Republicans again
Explain this to me. Since Reagan, Republicans have run loudly against Roe. trump promised to only appoint judges who would overturn it. Why is it only after it's overturned that women 'will never trust Republicans again'? Nothing changed in their position since 1980 essentially.

She is filth.
She is one of those right-wingers who chases power for its own sake. So her take on abortion IMO is whether it hurts or helps them get more power.

I haven't heard a word from Coulter since she was Bill Maher's friend on Politically Incorrect. I remember her being pro-Israel and anti-Clinton. Not much else.
Who isn't pro Israel and anti Clinton? Those are two correct points of view.

Because it's contrary to how a first world nation treats women. Until Trump even Republicans cared about remaining a first world nation.

Agree.

So true! So true! So true!

Abortion is the best thing since Family Planning (which I have listed as a beneficiary in my will).

Ms. Margaret Sanger is my No. 1 American hero. (Of course, Mr. Berhard Goetz is No. 2.)

Sorry Ann. You and your mates from Faux let these loons out from where they have been all these years, under rocks, lurking in swamps and backwaters and now they have run off on their own wild assed escapades.

YOU DID IT TO YOURSELVES ANN. You can beg till the cows come home. They think they have a winning strategy (wonder if they can even spell strategy). They are not going to stop until their have ridden their clown car party boat right into the sea floor.

Narrator Voice: "And they didn't listen"

I think you're misunderstanding my question. Since Reagan Republicans said they are trying to appoint a court that would overturn Roe. Why wouldn't that make Republicans "never trust Republcans again", instead of it being when the ruling is overturned? Nothing really changed about Republicans. It wasn't a surprise.

The SC chickened out and let the states go wild

They'll just write her off and then attack her as either a communist or a RINO.
Either way, disagree with the cult and you might as well be dead.
The ones that do will shortly be shown the door. Most conservatives are not strict pro-lifers, most would support abortions with limits placed upon them.

Before or after they have used gerrymandering, Minority Party Politics and absurd medical and scientific voodoo to drive women's reproductive rights right into the ground in red and some purple states?

It won't matter what political maneuvering they do, there simply aren't enough strict pro-life advocates to ban abortion in a wide swath. Do we even have 1 state so far?

There were strict limits on elective abortion (20-22 weeks of gestation) with the Roe' decision The idea of late term abortion as a choice did not exist. That was a conservative media creation to outrage their mouth breathing troglodytes. The only late term abortions were to save the life of the mother, rape, incest, and if the fetus wasnt viable and would have died at birth anyhow.
