And now, of course, George Santos is accused of running a credit card skimming racket.

You know, accused by his roommate. The guy he trained how to steal credit card info (probably by placing fake devices over ATMs (like at banks/etc) so it would read your credit card info).

Anyone here had their credit card info stolen by crooks?

Oh, and good job Republicans. George isn't an outlier. He's the perfect Republican.

Seem to have been involved in quite a few rackets. Running for Congress was definitely a mistake, all his grifts are now revealed. The worst fate for a grifter, is to be known as a grifter. No one would buy a used car from George Santos Devolder anymore.

I'm getting a real Donal Trump vibe here: just about every day a new crime or fraud comes to light, and every day he keeps not being in jail. And as with Donald Trump, I feel like we could be talking about new revelations of crimes committed by Santos ten years from now and he still won't be in jail.

Recall Sam Bankman-Fried and the span of time between the revelation that he ripped off all his investors of over a billion dollars and his indictment. What was it? A month?

Sam Bankman-Fried's mistake is that his crimes came to light when he wasn't an elected (or formerly elected) politician.

Definitely the perfect mascot for the GOP.

It says the investigation into him remains open.. I really, really want to know where the funds came for his campaign...he made under 50k a year before. How did he loan himself 750k with 50k income?

We're going to find out that some really rich Republican funded him to win that seat.

Should we put an over / under on how much longer Santos holds that seat? 3 months? 6 months?

Well if nobody brings criminal charges against him, until his next election.

you know who isn't under investigation for credit card skimming (and countless other things) and who isn't about to be indicted for paying hush money to a porn star (and under investigation for countless other things)?

the Email Lady.

she's the one that fox/the right convinced everyone was Satan (for decades) and the one that some on the left and many independents didn't trust (because the worst propaganda reached them).

funny how things play out.
