As the trials of those who took part in the breaking and entering raid on the Capital of the United States of America continue and sentences are handed out, A story from soon after the event comes to mind. As far as I know, it has not been told under oath, and so there's little reason to accept or reject it at this time.
The story was that then-President Donald Trump wanted the Secret Service people to take him to the Capital building and that instead, for safety reasons, they took him to the White House.
If the story is true, the Secret Service did him a very, very big favor.
Perhaps, as the various indictments of Mr. Donald Trump unfold, we'll hear of this again.
Regards, stay safe 'n well.
