Good to here that skeptics come from all perspectives, but that doesn’t invalidate my point. I presume that when I listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Levin, et al., they will be skeptics on the question. I assume that a a speaker on the topic would not be received well at a GOP or conservative conference. Apparently recent GOP platforms have gone from accepting climate change and supporting private innovation to fight it eight years ago, to general denial of the issue lately. No doubt there are conservatives who are concerned and liberals who don’t trust the theory, but in general it has sadly become a left-right issue.

Wonderful! I hope you and even deniers are right... Less to worry about... But I harken back to Sen McCain and his comment that even if the danger is exaggerated, what is suggested we do about it is probably good anyway.
I addressed the #6 poster as Captain Obvious. The humor was the misapprehension that the spoof was some sort of discovery.
“In other words, the deniers were simply unreceptive to the evidence presented and, instead, were activating brain regions associated with memory recall in order to entrench their preconceived ideas.”
Wow. Neuroscientists being THAT dumb. When presented with the “evidence” skeptics PROCESSED the information. How dumb do you have be to think that increased neural activity is a sign of mental weakness?
If you took any of the alarmist articles presented on the net and presented them to believers and skeptics you’ll find that the believers do not process information while skeptics do. Believers simply absorb what’s presented. Skeptics are simply more intelligent than believers, so of course our brains light up when presented with ANY information. And if the authors think that memory has nothing do with information processing then Azuela et al are either presenting bogus credentials or they’re pushing the AGW agenda. Either way, they’re promoting a lie.
Perhaps you would like to discuss the science then.
The science behind the 20 million biofuel deaths you invented, perhaps?
I notice you've backed off from that and have just vaguely been saying "millions." Any particular reason?
Would it make you feel better that I don't read or listen to the following:
I have not followed them for many years.
I am an Independent, how did that help you?
What we are currently doing is killing millions of people per year.
You want more of this?
Of course not... I presume there is a solution to your problem. Have you any suggestions?
As I said, your independent status is a (presumably not rare) exception to my general point that this has sadly become a left right issue for many.
Stop using food as fuel. Stop paying farmers not to produce food. Allow the market to decied the price.
Stop reacting to none problems. Have a law that says it is illegal to lie and call it science.

Well, commission a study to find out the real truth and stop all this foolishness. If this is a hoax invented by the Chinese as Trump suggested, we have a right to know so we can end all this silliness about wind and solar. But if the study concludes that human activity changes the climate and that is dangerous, and the scientists take a lie detector test, are you ok with some regulation or do we have to wait til the water reaches Times Square, my lower lip, etc.
I think youwill find that there are 2 types of opponent to the CAGW green/communist drive for control;
1, Those who are the typical right sided anti-government type/Republican who just smell a rat and don't like it.
2, Thosewho have a decent level of scientific understanding and have examined it all with an open mind.
Either gets you into the Skeptic camp.

I was going to say in response to your mention of communism, that it was sooo 1950s, but are you talking as Trump did that this is a Chinese hoax? Suppose you are a scientist with an open mind and, say Trump asks you to study it... you conclude that human activity causes change and that it is a problem. What then?
The West Side Highway was dry as a bone Monday night.
Pass me the money for it and I do it.
Although you will not believe it.
Well, if you can show the mechanism that will cause this problem please show it to the world and me.
Can you find any credible mechanism that does that?
Nobody else can supply one.
Isnt it still elevated in spots? Haven't been there in years. And May smashed temperature records in the US... And apparently in the UK and Germany... High tide flooding is twice what it was 30 years ago, and flooding is worrying those in Boston as the International Mayors Climate summit starts today. Just another day's worth of news.
Go figure.
In 1988 James Hansen predicted the West Side Highway would be under water by 2028. Ten years out, dry as a bone.
And May temperatures were down, as global cooling continues.
:roll:In 1988 James Hansen predicted the West Side Highway would be under water by 2028.
Take it up with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the source of the info about May smashing temperature records in the US (with each state warmer than average -- noaa.gov) and about high tide flooding being twice what it was 30 years ago, plus city officials in Boston who are seeing flooding in their Seaport District. NASA apparently agrees. Also, your chart seems to suggest that things in general are indeed getting warmer.
The US is 6% of the Earth's land surface, and the UAH temperature record is global. And no, temperatures have been declining since 2016.
