The reno office here in Nevada is pretty good. They were friendly and thorough (thank goodness) because it was a difficult time for her.
Well, I think as far as whistleblower is concerned, I do believe you can call the SS office and report that person.
If the truth is that fraud is rampant, then there definitely needs to be more auditors and support for hiring them.
I worked full time from 1964 to 2004 during which I never received benefits from medicaid, welfare, unemployment, food stamps, student loans or grants, etc.
But as I am now 66, I get SS and medicare. And I also get a VA disability for Parkinson's, due to Agent Orange exposure. And a pension from the Navy. Adds up to about $6000 per month.
Thank you, Uncle Sam....:2wave:
We were told we would be contacted every three years and were even shown the paperwork we would have to fill out. All I can go by is what the evaluators and the auditors have told us which is every 3 years. I'll dig through her paperwork tonight and see if I can find somewhere it says that.
They used to make Agent Orange, down the road a ways.
Local lore says they buried it in the town.
Not likely, when all they had to do to dispose of it is call it "weed control"....
Well like I mentioned before, if that truly is the case that there is rampant fraud then there seems to be probable cause for the government to hire more auditors and have bi-partisan support for it.
I have worked with a few people who could retire early on disability, but refuse to....even if they don't need more retirement points in the company plan...I find it amusing that people think we really have a huge growth in people actually disabled. This growth is largely long-term deadbeats maxing out TANF and jumping ship to the bigger check. I am sure if we eliminate long-term unemployment, all those long-term people who just can't find a job anywhere will suddenly become too depressed to work too
Anybody want to argue that we are actually seeing this kind of increase in our disabled v those who simply have figured out a new way to get free money from the government?
And those 13 are also supporting the people on Welfare, Social Security, Medicaid, Unemployment.... yeesh. No wonder we have trillion dollar deficits.

Are people gaming the system? Oh, yeah. More than before? Difficult to say. .
Probably so. When good Americans see that an anti-American government such as Obama's steals from decent people and rewards the non-deserving simply because they vote for him, all rules go out the window and decent people correctly conclude that they deserve that money more than the Obama supporters.
This is also why so many people are moving to avoid paying taxes. Decent, honest Americans do not want their tax dollars going to Liberal programs designed to steal from Americans for Liberal purposes.
First off, tax cheats are tax cheats and shouldn't be glorified. Secondly, the government has been taking from good Americans and giving to non-deserving entities simply because they donate to their party for quite some time. Look at all the laws which protect corporations, destroy competition, solidify the aristocracy. This ain't new, Obama didn't start it; just continuing the proud tradition of uncontrolled government growth and protecting the privileged elite.
You're not saying that you fail to realize record numbers of people don't want their money to go to Obama's self-serving programs are you?
I understand that people may not like it; but it doesn't mean they're anything other than tax cheats.
Do you understand that an anti-American government like Obama's can create what you refer to as "tax cheats" from decent Americans?
I understand that an "anti-American government like Obama's" didn't start with Obama. And how many of y'all bitched when government closed down free market capitalism in favor of the Corporate State? Or engaged in infinity war and used such to excuse gross expansions of government against the rights and liberties of the individual? Oh, now there are social programs and you don't want to pay for it...now it's anti-American? Please. We're in this state because of blind partisan idiots who cannot understand the systematic dynamics the government has been acting through for decades now to rob Americans of their freedom, of their liberty, of their ability to interact and control the government. No, this new line of tax cheats are just wimpy ass penny-pinchers who won't do anything to actually solve a problem, pretend they can fund whatever they care for, and do nothing to properly control and restrain the government. You should all pay, you should all pay in full, and you should understand the ultimate reason as to why your paying so much is because of your own damned stupidity and laziness.
Understand that when you become so far afield of American values and traditions as today's present field of freakish, loudmouth, America hating Obama supporters, you deserve nothing from Americans who work hard for their money.
Meh, no different than Bush really and a bunch of the partisan can't seem to understand that one. If you hate Obama, you should hate Bush. Peas in a pod those two.
Please. I could go to a psychologist tomorrow, and get diagnosed with "anxiety" and get SSDI.
I call BS. These people were deinstitutionalized and then proceeded to be right as rain for 15 years before suddenly re-developing their disability?
If we had seen a sudden, sharp, immediate flooding of these people to the disability rolls, then that would be indicative. But the steady increase we have seen is nothing of the sort, but rather similar to what they have seen in Britain.
No you couldn't, but if you believe this you have no idea what needs to occur for one with anxiety to get SSDI.
