On the surface, the message from the University of Michigan's final reading of consumer sentiment for November is that President-elect Donald Trump will fix what ails the nation — fast.

The consumer expectations index of the survey rose by 8.4 points from October to 85.2 — a one-month gain last exceeded in the December 2011 — a testament to households' optimistic view on the outlook for the U.S. economy and their own pocketbooks.

Fix what ails the nation -- fast? Santa Claus and Tooth Fairy are on their way too. That will make 'em happy!

Since he's a Dem at heart it should be really interesting.

People just thinking what Trump is going to do is making America great again itself..

Well, don't be believing all the media BS out there about him walking it back....they are merely going on tweets from various conversations with Trump .....and none of them really have a clue.

Give the man a chance...he doesn't even take over until 1/20/17. All the crapola that goes down from now until then, is on obozo!

The Fat Lady hasn't sung yet.

I might be a little perturbed because if he had lost he'd be complaining and crying rigged and trying everything to get it his way.

See how Democrats co-operate.

It's their Religious bent. They become self-righteous and think they're right and then with God in they have to win (for his sake,) but they don't know what they do and they think the the Lord themselves.

If he really wants to fix anything he has to go back to when they cut revenue and handed over a crisis.

In order to succeed he has to not do this again.

Anyway, the Republicans are back in the White House so we can go ahead and borrow without fuss again.

The new President should go with his opponent's economic plan.

Well, since so many things in our economy is based more on belief than actual solid foundation, sure, why not?

No one has a clue about this guy. Remember he said he doesn't want to be predictable. And given the statements he's made, who knows.

I can only hope he reverts back to his liberal side.

Gonna be hilarious seeing the Trumpsters explode at it.

Provided it happens, of course.

That is a plus.....and he will confound the liberals on a continual basis. His cabinet picks so far are sound Conservatives.
Remember what he told Martha "the big lib" Radditz during the debate: "Why would I tell my enemies what my plans are?"
Trump won't be checking poll numbers, or consulting the media, before making a decision! That's stupid liberal crap!

Of course you do, liberals will be the ones doing the exploding me thinks. It started with election night...and will be ongoing. ;)

Not according to his cabinet picks so far.

Exactly.

We'll see. He is starting to walk back some of his campaign promises.

Noooooooooooo....he is not. That is media BS....generated by the media who will be doing this for the next four years.

They are hypocrites. Every screw up that obama made was ignored or downplayed by the media....their tin god will be gone in 58 days...good riddance!

I'm not even a liberal, but okay. If it happens, I'm gonna enjoy the spin job that follows.

People are just happy it's over.

People are happy they don't have to see or hear Globalist Granny screeching at them from their TV screens. :)

Anyway, I'm glad she's gone. The country is grateful they dodged a bullet too. That's enough to make anyone happy, well, except for leftists. They wouldn't have been happy anyway, they live in a world of misery and angst.

I look forward to a DJT presidency.

Most Americans voted for the globalist granny, so that ain't it.

With the possibility that a lot of those votes were illegal that will never be known one way or the other.

Trump's votes could be illegal too. We have no idea so we should speculate.

There is talk of Chelsea running for something.

All her opponent would have to do is put out a commercial switching her picture for that of her mother over and over again.

She would be soundly defeated.

If delusion helps you cope with the reality that Donald lost the popular vote, then so be it.

Pathetic.
