He did not witness the cops being killed. Had he, he would have ambushed them and ended the ordeal. What he did, while ignorant of the preceding, does not weigh upon those who witnessed the original event. This news serves to support my original statement: it's too bad someone in the restaurant wasn't carrying and shut them down.

You're trying to blame being armed for someone's murder. The guy made a bad call, he didn't realize what he was dealing with. He should have kept distance and observed with cover and a line of fire.

Yeah, he made a bad call alright. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...I think you're doing a pretty good job of blaming him yourself. Nobody knows who they're dealing with in those situations.....because it's not a movie...there isn't a script...and you can't go back and do the scene over until you get it right.

I don't know why you're hung up on movies. I haven't been to a movie theater or owned a TV in over 15 years. So, you are certainly more indoctrinated in the "movie/TV culture" than I am.

My statement, despite your diversion (and BS ad hom), stands: if you see a cop ambushed, fire.

Hannity championed the anti-government militias at Bundy ranch and the Millers were at Bundy Ranch. FoxNews, especially Hannity, giving the gun toting extremists a platform and egging them on makes FoxNews part of the story. So it should be kind of interesting to see what Hannity has to say about this.....or if he remains noticeably silent.

But Moot nailed it. The talk radio crowd and Hannity in particular gave the loonies at Bundy ranch a voice. It doesn't take much to push these nutsacks over the edge. When you have these militia wannabe's out at the ranch aiming their rifles at federal agents, and guys like Hannity cheering them on, what the hell do you expect? The most crazy of the crazies will go and do violence like this. Shame on all the politicians and TV and radio hosts that pandered to the nuts supporting that anti government thief Cliven Bundy.

ok... lets play the scenario game then.

You are in a walmart. You and 20 other people in the store are packing. You hear shots in the walmart down several aisles away. you and at least the 20 others pull their guns out... 20 people plus the bad guy has guns pulled and aimed. You see a guy with a gun and he sees you with your gun. Naturally, out of fear you both turn towards each other. What do you do?

This is the scenario that the NRA dumbass Wayne LaPierre says is ideal. More guns in every shooting episode will fix the problem. 20 good guys with a gun. One bad guy with a gun. He says this every ****ing time a mass shooting happens. Now you are in the ideal NRA guns everywhere scenario... what do you do?

What recent shooter was spontaneous? The ones I remember had all kinds of plans for a long time before acting.

That's easy. You aren't trained to go running through Walmart with your gun drawn. You draw when you assess your target. Until any of those 20 people laid eyes on the shooters they would not have their gun drawn, so anyone who I see with their gun drawn would either know I am not the shooter -- because they saw the shooter and my gun was not drawn -- or would point their gun at me which means they are now a target.

Gun safety and Gun defense classes cover all of this. No trained gun owner would be so stupid as to whip out their gun in a situation like that and go running around the store.

When you make these scenarios, you shouldn't tell me what I do. I would not draw my sidearm at the sound of shots several isles away. Likely I would become the wall to dodge the impending stampede. From that point I would be a good witniss.

You obviously have no formal training on this matter.

People wanted free **** and feel entitled to take what wanted without any regard for humanity...

Yet the teachings of the Bible are considered "false" or even "untrue" -- maybe the Bible gives others a moral guidance that prevents these crimes from happening more often..

Hearing about this stuff is a shame.
