Mastercard works in all these states. It has the backing and will not fiunction without a very tightly enforced set of particular laws. One world government is here. This is what it looks like.
One of the greatest scientists, economists, and political historians ever, Albert Einstein, had the following to say about capitalism and socialism.
"This crippling of individuals I consider the worst evil of capitalism. Our whole educational system suffers from this evil. An exaggerated competitive attitude is inculcated into the student, who is trained to worship acquisitive success as a preparation for his future."
"Capitalism as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals. In such an economy, the means of production are owned by society itself and are utilized in a planned fashion."
"I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals."
So Einstein joins other socialist geniuses to propose bad policies that foolish government leaders have tried and failed dozens of times in atheist nations of the world to no benefit to the learning disabled.
Does W. Virginia have to be like California?
Well, I'll give "one of the greatest scientists" but "economist" and "political historian"? I need a little more proof. One of the greatest scientists, economists, and political historians ever, Albert Einstein, had the following to say about capitalism and socialism.

Good thing Einstein stuck to what he knew about rather than venturing into what he didn't.
But what do you want to be like? Finland? Norway? Sweden? Denmark? The US economy has buried them in the ground, several miles deep. We have the best system in the world. That's why we're number one. They should be emulating us.
So do we all. That does not make us more knowledgeable than Einstein in economics!
Pure speculation on your part. He proved his huge brain worked in many things, suggesting that at the very least he had a very very good brain.
People are people and have always been. Throughout history all kinds of political concepts are risen and been tried. There is nothing new about the ones now.
On this I totally agree and that is why Trump is so dangerous and destructive to our nation. Socialism is not a dictatorship or anything like that, so it does not apply here.
Meh. It's still very primitive and unenforceable. You can still have Julian Assange hiding out in South America, and we can't force his extradition if they don't want to give him to us. You still have the Russians running covert military operations in the Ukraine, and we can't have any formal investigation into it or getting them to stop. Iran can still fund terrorist activities, and our only recourse would be to bomb them and start a major war over there. Wouldn't it be better to just call for an investigation from an international police investigator? If N. Korea wanted to violate its agreements and keep building more nukes, again our only recourse to be to bomb them and start a major war over there. Wouldn't it be better to just call for an investigation from an international police investigator?
There are no developed economies in the world today that do not have some socialist policies, including our own. Pure capitalism is like pure coffee bean grinds. No one wants to just eat the grinds raw. It's too strong even for those with the strongest stomachs.
But what do you want to be like? Finland? Norway? Sweden? Denmark? The US economy has buried them in the ground, several miles deep. We have the best system in the world. That's why we're number one. They should be emulating us.
That is a matter of opinion.
Would you like it if the Prsident of the USA was arrested by this international over-governemt police body for destabilising the middle east today?
You know, I actually would. For long term peace and stability, there is nothing like real law, order, and justice.
You know what they say: no justice, no peace. Know justice, know peace.
But what do you want to be like? Finland? Norway? Sweden? Denmark? The US economy has buried them in the ground, several miles deep. We have the best system in the world. That's why we're number one. They should be emulating us.
And who would you trust to have that power and how would they be controled?
In the EU we have a democratic deficite, one of the reasons we in the UK are leaving, which makes the beauracts more powerful that they should be. The reason for this is that the the differences between the various nations of the EU are greater than the collective political similararities. The result is that there can be no democratic over governance of the EU because if it was democratic it would have an intollerable amount of power as seen by many of the political elites in the various nations.
If the EU had the power to arrest corrupt politicians, with a version of what constitutes corruption taken for the British view point all Italian politicians would be in jail.
Every size jurisdiction needs some decent system of government, law, and order to keep from turning into mayhem. Every family has a set of rules (even if unwritten). Every neighborhood condo association, or workplace, or school, swimming pool, and playground has a set of rules. Every city and county has a set of rules. Every state has a set of rules. Every nation has a set of rules.
Just because you have a set of rules for your workplace, does that mean your county should not have rules? Just because you have a set of rules for your county, does it mean we should no longer have a state or federal government?
International law is the same. There have to be some rules, and a formal system of law and order, and a means to enforce them, at the level of international interactions, to create a less chaotic and dysfunctional international arena. It will be good for business. War, or even the threat of it, is not good for capitalism. Contracts and treaties, without the means of enforcing them, is not good for capitalism. Enforceable international law will free up a lot of funds from being spent on national defense which could go to much better investment elsewhere.
Think about how much money would be freed up if all the nations of the Earth stopped spending so much of their GDP on their militaries, and instead used it for other things. Not only would we get rid of everything from cancer to Alzheimer's, we could be exploring the freaking Andromeda galaxy by now.

You discount human nature. Even the Federation on Star Trek had enemies and holdouts.

I wouldn't trust such a system with my life.
They usually end up mired in corruption and inevitably fall to some form of oppressive control over their population.
Venezuela is a complete model for such a warning.

Why? Because they have a system of government?
Better ways of doing things cannot be discounted because they are not perfect.
Cars break down. Does that mean we should go back to riding our donkeys to work every morning?
One thing that needs to be explained is that Socialism is not the same as Communism. Socialism does work if done correctly. Finland, Sweden, and New Zealand are good examples of Socialist countries that are doing well and the people have high standards of life, both economically and emotionally, as well as high degree of happiness.
Why not Sweden?

Sweden’s enviable living standards result from an economy that performs optimally because of regulatory efficiency and open-market policies that enhance flexibility, competitiveness, and large flows of trade and investment.
