If a bomb, then who did it I wonder?
I heard on the radio that a flame-out induced by heavy rain may also be a possibility. However, given these aircraft have multiple engines it's hard to believe both engines would fail, but I'm not an expert on engines.

Well I assume they're going after the flight data recorder, so when they find it hopefully we'll know more.I would tend to rule out flame out since whatever happened "prevented" them from transmitting. I would think that their protocal would have been for them to report what was happening Tends to lead one to conclude something severe and swift occured.

Well if this was the 60's I would say Algerians they would have had a motivation to fry a French plane !!! There are other disgruntled former French colonials !!
Don't think that Chavez hates the French !!!
If all else fails blame the "Liberals".
Well we have subs for that, but I think it will be hard to find the box, because they would first have to understand the pattern of dispersion to figure out where it might be.YUP, !! possible, but I thought I heard at one point that the possible "crash" field was in pretty deep water. I have forgotten my ocean geography is the Atlantic trench in that area ?
Who in this entire thread has "blamed Liberals?"

BBC NEWS | Americas | Lost jet data 'may not be found'Lost jet data 'may not be found'
French aviation officials have said they may never find the
flight data recorders of an Air France jet that went missing
over the Atlantic.
The officials promised a thorough investigation but said
the circumstances were very difficult.
Flight AF 447 was heading from Rio to Paris with 228
people on board on Monday when it was lost over the
ocean.
Debris has been spotted 650km (400 miles) off Brazil's
coast and navy vessels are converging on the area.

"debris".

we call it 'debris' and pronounce it 'duhbree' :lol:How do you say "debris" in English? It means "shatered parts of a wreck" but I don't know if there is an english word for that
"debris".

Will couldn't be "right" about anything. If "right" walked up and said to him hey, I am "right" he would argue that "right" was actually "left" or that "up" is somehow "down".

Debris recovered from the Atlantic by Brazilian search teams does not come from a lost Air France jet, a Brazilian air force official has said.
Brig Ramon Borges Cardoso contradicted earlier reports that debris had been found, saying "no material from the plane has been recovered".
A wooden cargo pallet was taken from the sea, but the Airbus A330 had no wooden pallets on board.
