The U.S. Air Force has removed web content honoring several trailblazing female pilots—including the first woman to fly with the Thunderbirds, the elite air demonstration squadron—in an effort to comply with Trump administration directives aimed at eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) content from federal websites. The purge includes webpages, photos, videos and biographies, many of which celebrated historic firsts for women in military aviation. Among the most prominent cases is retired Colonel Nicole Malachowski, who served for 21 years and broke barriers as the first woman to pilot with the elite Thunderbirds demonstration team.

The pettiness above speaks for itself. Once again "Commander Bone Spurs" Trump shits on our military veterans.

One thing I noticed was something that is not uncommon with government style revisions of material on sites that are simply for public viewing:

What Happens Next

While the Air Force did not confirm how many pages were removed or if they would be restored, an unnamed spokesperson told Air Force Times that "purely historical content" might be reinstated after a compliance review.

The style I noticed is all in any possible category needing review because of new guidelines is removed and then checked and decisions are made on what goes back onto the public viewing website.

I don't read anything in that article that states any of that stuff removed for now will be permanently removed. It is just a review and anyone who has worked with the government knows this is the system.

This simply does NOT YET fall into that categorization you closed your post with.

BUT, it does reflect upon you. It peels away another layer of what you're wrapped in and that deserves a thank you. In addition, it helps some folks that study such things, learn just a tad bit more about the thought processes going on in those News Week offices, and that deserves another thank you.

A little info about how the "purge" has been effected (haphazardly, depending on dept.?) and what restorations there will be: https://apnews.com/article/pentagon...-media-purge-fb15996733408a8122a97acd3baa6820

The entire spirit of what they are doing is not about merely routine government reviews.

Yes. Our brave Pentagon REMF's kowtowing to a wannabe dictator.

My gosh, that brings back memories! I haven't seen or heard "REMF" used in a very long time.

The man who never had the balls to serve himself is erasing the achievements of others.

And some of the brainwashed cultists still wearing a uniform have the audacity to call this pathetic human and his lackey, Hegseth, a "strong leader" 🤣🤣

This is not the hill to defeat the enemy on.

All can be restored as long as the items are not physically destroyed. Yet there are other records of all of the "DEI" elsewhere throughout the country that continue to exist and to be protected and preserved.

This is neither the Alamo nor is it the Normandy beachheads.

I hope the Democrats are keeping a list of things to reverse....

And like we are seeing so many times, this is 99% the actions of some GS-6 that is acting out of pettiness and not actually following any such requirements by instead trying to make the military and administration look bad.

There are so many of these, it should be obvious that is what this is by now. I am no fan of President Trump, I have never hid my disdain for him. But do people honestly think he ordered the military to remove the pages for the "Enola Gay" from official military websites because it had the word "Gay" in it? Or Ira Hayes because he was an Indian? These are the kinds of petty actions some lower level functionary does when they are pissed off.

No, Trump probably had people to issue those orders.

The buck stops with Trump. If he can’t take responsibility for the actions of his administration, he shouldn’t be president. It is irrelevant who carries out the actions of his administration. He is responsible for all of them.

But Trump thinks it stop with anyone else he can blame.
