putting this here as the politicization of armed forces with this lunacy has to stop.

just what we need a "humble" military

Because everyone knows soldiers fight better if they can call each other slurs like "f*****".

 indeed.

Just another thread lamenting about why can't we just go back to the good old days when the lowest white straight christian male was better than the best anyone else.

That's why China probably thinks this country will be a pushover after a few more decades of this craziness.

I'm sorry, but I'm just not going to be able to remember all this nitwit speak to appease others' delicate sensibilities. It's very low on my list of priorities of important things. I'm actually already too polite to people.

Well that’s it I am going to withdraw my accpliceation in protest

You are free to be as rude as you would like to be. Just understand that you are not entitled to be sheltered from other people's criticism of your rudeness.

Every single management/leader - from McDonalds to the military gets some version of D&I training.

It’s standard protocol.

I can only imagine what will come next. Instead of "fighters" and "bombers" our pilots will be flying "mechanical messengers of love and peace" and instead of ordinance they'll carry baskets of doves and rose petals.

.
*ordnance*

this aint manners it's PC run amok. they cant say "mom and dad?"
Of course they can. But if they want to be more inclusive, they can use words like parents, guardians, or caregiver. What part of your own link don't you understand?

no problem on that.. "I dont see color" is now verboten"we're al ljust people"as well. MLK would be rolling in his grave

Incorrect.

D&I training is about recognizing that ASSumptions may be incorrect and may open an organization up to lawsuits, discrimination charges, etc.

Feel free to say “Mom and Dad” as much as you want. The company (or in this case the military) is going to revert back to where you’ve attended D&I training, been warned not to and then allow you (the individual) to face the proverbial firing squad while they sit behind their attorneys with their a** covered because they’ve trained you NOT to and you didn’t listen.

the academy also offers a "Cadet Wing Diversity and Inclusion Program," where graduates are given a purple rope to wear across their left shoulder "symbolizing their position as a diversity representative" so that they can "advise students on diversity," according to a press release.

This is nothing more than trying to control what people think by managing what they can say. It's complete bullshit to try and color it any other way. It's oppressive and obnoxious.

SMH.. lawsuits over words that specify mom or dad..the military is infected with this garbage
all of which is a waste of time instead of focusing on war skills

This is the way the military covers its bases and makes sure that they aren't open to organizational-wide claims of harassment or discrimination.

They provide the training. The record of the individual attending their training goes into the personnel file.

If Person A claims that Officer Doe acted in a way that is discriminatory, the military can reach back into that personnel folder and say "No one made a complaint previously" and also "Here is where we provided them with D&I training, here is what we told them to do in order to be more inclusive...they didn't listen...take it up with them individually".

And then, depending on the severity of the allegations, discharges Officer Doe from service and potentially ends their pension.

You realize it was likely a few hours spent in one training, correct?

Anyone that has ever been in any sort of managerial or leadership position has wasted plenty of time checking boxes on trainings.

We'll be seeing Article 15s for saying, "As American as Momma, Hot Dogs and Apple Pie". First offense gets you an LOR, second is a reduction in rank and after that comes a BCD.

Telling me I can't say mom and dad seems pretty rude. But then again I don't understand liberals definition of the word rude. The man in a Washington state YMCA shower room who was looking at naked little girls wasn't rude but the 80 year old grandmother who complained about him was. That's why she got banned.
