Air conditioning settings

25.5C or 78F. I don't want to have to wear sweaters in the summer! Anything lower than 78, and I'm looking for something long sleeved.

76*F for me, usually.

Florida here. If i turn it below 80 on a bright sunny day it runs too much
81 summer
77 winter

78 day, 76 at night to sleep. (Summer settings)

we heat the place to 72 during the winter months (day or night).

House is all electric. Cooling / Heating comes from a heat pump.

82. I also have ceiling fans in most rooms. While 82 isn’t exactly cool it’s a heck of a lot better than the 102-110 outside!

Chilling at a lovely 70F.

My wife runs a hair salon out of our home, we've gotta keep it cool due to the chemicals, it gets heady enough in there as it is... but I ain't complaining... ;) hehe

True fact: You can always put on more clothes, but you can only take so many off before you cause a scandal...lol

72° in the summer months...though I'd like to have it cooler since being on hormone therapy keeps me hot all the time...poor hubby freezes to death at 72°...66° in the winter...I'm thinkin' of movin' to Alaska or maybe the North Pole...😅

79 in my part of the house, 76 for my wife's, she needs cold, I feel cold at 79, especially when its over 110 degrees outside. We have 4 ceiling fans, I need to get another one and install it.

Mine is set to 23C/73F. Upstairs is just right, downstairs is a freezer.

Mine sits at 75F. I'm not allowed to go any lower...
But that's at thermostat, central in a small 50s ranch with shitty insulation.
Outer areas aren't quite down there for sure.

Mine is set at 68.

I like it cold in the summer in the house 🤷‍♀️

And my electric bill is showing that 😂

No need for air conditioning in my area. The four or five days in the summer when the indoor temperature is in the 80s, I pull out our electric fans. Some summers the fans are not used at all.

Winter thermostat is set at 66, and heat is turned off at night. Heat is needed c. mid-December to mid-February. Temps haven’t been below 40 on winter nights — which would be considered unusually cold here — in the three decades that I’ve been here.

I HATE YOUR SOUL!!! The air will soon catch on fire here.

82 or 27.5 here in San Jose, CA. I'm a cheap bastard.

In a dry-air climate you can get away with that. Right now the relative humidity outside is 87%. I’d die if my thermostat were set to 82. It would be stifling. You can’t keep all of the moisture out. It just isn’t practical.

San Jose is more humid than you might think. Currently, it's 54% outside.

Would a dehumidifier help?

We use a heat pump, which is more efficient than an A/C. The water flows out of the unit like a river. If we raise the temp it stops removing the water as much. But, yes, we have a dehumidifier as well which we can place in a bedroom that allows the temperature to be raised in the house overall while making the room more comfortable for someone sleeping in the room. Most of the time, however, we don’t bother. Sometimes I’ll just lower the temp on the heat pump a degree or two to dehumidify the house if it feels a bit stuffy.

73 here....I hate the heat.
