A cardinal adds color to the wintry landscape

Go Cardinals!

Such lovely birds. Besides being bright red, they also have such a distinctive call. There's a very vocal one that mostly resides in my back yard, but unlike yourself, I have been unable to take a snap.

A pair of cardinals live in one of the trees on my frontage. The male is considerably a brighter red than the female. They are a beautiful couple. Close by in another tree live a pair of doves.

I have Cardinals, a Blue Jay, and an owl. Sorry, no pics yet.

Grrrr......

:2wave:

Grrrr? Why do you say that?
Its only 80 deg here. But tonight its gonna drop to the mid 60's with a high of 79 to 81 for Christmas eve....;)

It's been a crappy winter so far in Chicago.
It is either snowing (it is as I write this) or so cold your snot freezes.
Sunday had a daytime wind chill of -35°F

Bad for some, but this means some of the Illinois trash mounds, I mean ski resorts, will finally have real snow.
