Actor Jamal Trulove, who was wrongfully convicted of murder in 2010, claims then-San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris laughed when his guilty verdict was delivered.

The claim came in a conversation with celebrity podcast “The Art of Dialogue.” Trulove in that appearance recounted his experience of being framed for murder, which he was later acquitted of and awarded $13.3 million.

Harris allegedly never spoke to Trulove during his trial. Their brief interaction in the courtroom, he said, came across as insensitive.

“I’ll never forget, I turned around and I looked, and I saw Kamala Harris,” he said. “We locked eyes this one time and she laughed. She literally just like kind of busted out laughing, almost as if she was pointing at [me] like ‘hahaha.’”

Ever hear of the central park 5?

You are a progressive, right?

Kamala Harris was a DA who cared more about her conviction record than ensuring people get a fair trial.

Trump has called for the executions of several people, pardoned people actually found guilty of crimes that they really did commit, humiliated several different people with names and terrible claims about them, including awful impressions. He is part of making up a story about immigrants who kill and eat neighbors' pets. He wanted the NG to shoot illegal immigrants in the legs or other parts of their body that simply wouldn't be lethal. He is overall just an awful person, but because this man claims she laughed during his verdict, that should be disqualifying for her? Trump was convicted of a crime and indicted on dozens more charges and has been found guilty civilly of rape.

Don’t care….🤷

Did she even apologize to Mr. Trulove for the suffering and pain she caused him and his family?
He got over a million dollars from the city after his conviction was overturned and the officers sued. She didn't try his case. Did Trump ever apologize to anyone, ever besides "we're so sorry for your loss"?

Are there any other witnesses to this event? It sounds like it was in the middle of the courtroom, if it went down as described.

The article is only a synopsis of a podcast conversation, so there isn't any supporting evidence provided.

Edit: Actually, since they are an actor, and since they both claim to be supporting Trump and criticized Kamala Harris's "stupid-ass laugh", I have to wonder how much the Trump campaign or some other political entity supporting them is paying him to play this role.

Almost all DAs care more about their conviction record. And, defense attorneys care more about their clients not being convicted. That's what criminal law is all about. It's the judges who care about ensuring that the accused gets a fair trial.

So, the choices are

A. Harris, the successful DA, AG, Senator and VP, who may or may not have laughed at an inappropriate time

B. Trump, the elderly, lying, grifting, cheating, charity stealing, adulterer, bully, sexual abuser felon candidate

I choose A

So what? She thought he was guilty of a terrible murder and going to jail. She and her team succeeded, or at least they believed so.

It's too bad, very bad, that an innocent person was convicted...this is why so many object to the death penalty, misakes happen.

You can tell it's true because they have a photo of Harris laughing at the top of the story.

Kind of funny how the article veers off topic and gets into Harris not holding a press conference.

It's like a Fix News story.

Donald Trump took out full page ads calling for the death penalty of 5 innocent men. Even after he found out they were proven innocent, he doubled down.

So, does someone like Donald Trump deserve to be president?

How about the murderers and hard-core felons he should never have pardoned?

She a prosecutor, right or wrong she truly believes the people she goes after are infact guilty.

Well, to be fair, that was her job for 20 years.

The riot, the republic and the fight for America's soul

We also only have his claim to go on, we don't know for sure that things happened as he described.
Human memory isn't a 100% static thing, so even if he thinks it happened as he described he could be recalling it incorrectly.
