A crowdfunding campaign has raised over $1 million as of Tuesday for the opponent of Senator Susan Collins, R-Maine, if she votes to confirm Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, a move she likened to bribery.
Liberal activist groups have posted the campaign on the platform Crowdpac, drawing supporters and critics.
Like all power maneuvers by politicians who instead of representing their constituents play power games.Activists raise $1M to pressure Sen. Collins to vote against Kavanaugh, report says | Fox News
This is the slipperiest of slopes, IMO.

I know that this won't resonate with the radical left and they will never respond which is normal when confronted with logic and common sense, but the reality is today's Democratic Party has been taken over by radicals who have indoctrinated far too many with their leftwing ideology and promotion of class warfare and hate rhetoric

It's the sign of our desperate times. People should have long figured out that they only matter on election day. What matters afterwards is the politician's own half-hearted opinions and the wishes of his/her financial handlers in interest groups.
This could be argued as citizens trying to play on the same field as corporations that write checks to influence the elected on any given matter. In my opinion, these activists are merely jumping on the slippery slopes that others created. But at least this is from voting citizens and not board rooms full of people who's check book is greater than their individual votes.
The site to accept donations may have been set up by voting citizens but they have no control over where the money actually comes from. What's to stop corporations, super pacs, rich oil barons, foreign interests, etc... from getting in on the action, too?
Wow ... a new way to publicly taint a politician ... (grin)

God, you are so hopelessly lost in your delusions of reality. It is a well know historical fact that conservative interest groups and right-wing media had spent years and years hallowing out the GOP, leaving radicals and extremists behind. This is why in 2016, a birther, who was cheered on by white supremacists and neo-Nazis, with the majority of conservatives merely shrugging, killed in the Republican Primaries and then went on to be the winner of the two worst unfavorable scored candidates in presidential polling history (Clinton being the second worst). Yay victory!
Aren't they already in the action? This is their slippery slope.

Dude, don't quote satire sites to make an argument.
There was only one candidate who argued against big money in politics last election cycle. His name was Bernie Sanders and he was not taking any corporate PAC money. He campaigned on reversing Citizen's United which was the beginning of the end of American democracy as we know it.
Until conservatives come round to supporting those specific policies espoused by Bernie Sanders, all protests that this is unfair will ring hollow.
The site seems to matter more than the context or content. what in that site was false?
